Actual whole part Chicken!
Not mechanical chicken parts, not pink slime, not a chicken like substance, not funky little fibers, not chicken scraps left over from a poultry distributor....
Go figure.
People are so convinced that McDonald's is this evil empire that serves poison, that no matter what the truth is they will always chastise the restaurant chain

It used to be pink slime until there was public outrage. Now they grind up real chicken, still process the shit out of it, and shape it as so:

but what was wrong with pink slime though? they colored it pink so that it would bake and come out with a white pink meat. Same thing with salmon, farm raised salmon is white meat but they dye it pink, wheres the outrage about that? Alot of things that people eat are artificially enhanced.

I'd buy pink slime from a grocery store just to see what it is like fried on a skillet.

Actually there's alot of outrage towards farm raised salmon and the supposed dangers that come from eating it. Most people probably don't know about it nor do they really care about it either.
Personally, I wouldn't eat something prepared from a corporation unless I've done my research on the food. Even the chain restaurants like Arby's, Buffalo Wild Wings, etc, are probably just as unhealthy albeit a bit more "natural" but still the same shit...
I really do feel bad for people who don't know(or to lazy) to cook themselves a basic meal.

That same compound is found in plenty of other fast food products, like those sold at Arby's, Burger King, Wendy's, Chick Fil-A (although they are phasing it out), and so forth. Even grocery store products such as Wonder Bread, Pillsbury Dinner Rolls, and Little Debbie products contain it.

Defending McDonalds, how worthwhile and admirable.
I don't personally advocate eating there. I just hate the way they are vilified, especially in my industry. So many fictitious stories circulating that people actually start believing in them despite actually facts that contest those stories. One of my best friends worked in McDonald's for years and has never seen pink slime. There is no "100% Pure Beef" company. It is actually beef.
Instead of concentrating on attacking McDonald's people should advocate the restaurants they do believe are better diet options.
I do commend McDonald's for the fact they employ millions, give people who would not be accepted in the workplace a chance.

They should be villified. They represent everything that is wrong with the American diet. Personally I think this whole pink slime propaganda is a distraction to the real issue at hand: lack of nutritional value and sugar. They add way too much sugar to their food. There is as much sugar in a spicy chicken sandwich as a snickers bar. I'm guessing they are doing this because of the addictive nature of sugar. Personally I think it's a bad thing they are employing millions at such sh*tty wages. Millions also die from these kind of diet related illnesses btw. The criticism towards Mcdonald's is legit.

No, actually a Snickers bar has about 5 times the sugar.
Maybe you don't know the difference between a carb and a sugar?

Sugar in a candy bar is not the same as sugar content in food items. Further more if you took the sugar content in any "healthy" option menu you'll probably find it's just as high. A house salad or a whole wheat sandwich would technically have a lot of sugar due to the naturally occurring sugar in the ingredients. A slice of bread has 8 grams of protein on the average. Do you think bread is a good source of protein?
millions die from diabetes and other diet related issues. McDonald's is not the sole perpetrator. It's people's lifestyle choices.

I know Mcdonald's is not the only perpetrator, but defending it's practices is as bad as defending a serial killer because "he's not the only person killing people." It's lack of nutritional value and added sugar makes the food at Mcdonald's essentially a candy bar.
Also, I don't think bread is good for you because of the added sugar. When blood sugar goes up rapidly, it tends to go down just as quickly. When blood sugar goes down, we become hungry, which leads to obesity.

Snicker bars = 27g of sugar
Hot and Spicy Mcchicken = 22g
I said just as much as a snickers bar. By definition, 5g difference is "just as much."

I eat a shit ton of fast food. I think it tastes pretty good, really quick and cheap. Just can go grab a meal. Starting to make me feel pretty shitty. I'd say since I was 16 I've ate a ridiculous amount of McDonalds, waaay more than the average person.
Hilarious part is I'm pretty scrawny and could stand to probably gain some weight. So never made me fat. I get the double quarter pounder meal too, gotta be up there for the unhealthiest meal. Think I'm going to try and cut that shit out tho :lol

I still don't think people understand the full scope of all this.
A lot of people are aware of it, but simply dont care. They live simple lives, in remote areas, and food is one of their few comforts.
This is the great misunderstanding about this issue IMO. It's not a matter of education as much as a matter of indifference. A lot of people in America feel absolutely no incentive to eat a healthy diet. At this point its no different than cigarettes. Everyone knows the deal, and many just dont care. And that is wholly their prerogative, but the rest of society should not be compelled to accommodate them when their habits start catching up with them.

It goes both ways. While there are people who are ignorant about what they are eating in regards to their health, there are also people who propagate false stories because they are ignorant about how this chain prepares it's food.
I've never claimed McDonald's to be the healthiest. But I won't discriminate people from eating there.
You say McDonald's contributes to the problems. Well let's just shut down supermarkets while we're at it. In fact you'll find worse food items in an average supermarket.

1200 calories ain't that much if you live an active life, it's not McDonald's fault that you're a lazy couch potato.
With that being that, Mcdonald's is without a doubt THE worst fast food chain there is.

What an ignorant statement. So they operate their business like a sweat shop?
McDonald's doesn't just give young unskilled people a chance, they give people who aren't given chances in today's world. Most McDonald's employees make well above minimum wage. They have a great team building atmosphere and do a great job career prepping.
