snapped my sternum in half in a car wreck...doctor said I only lived because I was drunk, had I been sober it would have torn my heart up.
not kidding...:/

Since it was a sternum injury(steering wheel/air bag) I am assuming you were driving? Or no?

Ahhh. My father fractured his sternum, when a car pulled out in front of him. He blamed my mom's Prius he was driving. He said if he had been in his pickup, he probably would have just walked away from it.
He was in the hospital a week, how long did you spend there?

I broke my left wrist on a chasedown block just a little bit over a month before tryouts my sophomore year. Concussed as well. It was one of those types of jumps where I was going so fast (had a lot of catching up to do) that my takeoff was rushed and had virtually no gather, which led to a fast horizontal jump as opposed to a normally elevated leap. As a result, I landed seemingly within a foot of the padded wall out of bounds, still moving at near full speed. Had no chance to stop. One of the few times I saw legitimate stars. I thought my head was the lone injury and did not realize the wrist pain initially.
I recall the doctor saying, "Sorry about your season", and that sucked to hear. But I ended up healing in time for tryouts and made the squad as I hoped I would. I even think the break helped me by forcing myself to focus on conditioning. I ended up being in a lot better shape than many of my teammates, which was kind of a big boost for an underclassman trying to establish himself amongst the bigger fellers.

I was in the hospital only one day but after I was confined to my bed for around 3 weeks. It was awful, for the first couple weeks I couldn't even get up to piss, had to have my GF bring my a container...moving any muscle at all hurt.
I also lost a decent amount of weight during that time...eating was difficult.
I suspect your father is correct about the Prius vs truck...being ABOVE the impact is a huge deal. Being in a truck wouldn't have mattered to me though, hitting a tree is hitting a tree at every height.

patella (knee) chipped off from a car wreck, cut off the tip of my finger in a "cooking accident" other than that mostly mild-moderate contusions, lacerations and plenty of sprains/strains on the ankle and wrist from basketball. Also from jerking it
and yea some weird dick accidents from messing around with them dirty girls early on in my player-jiggalo career.
also is it just me or does getting injured seriously increase your chances with the ladies? girls can sense that shit and eat it up if they see that your in pain or that you've been hurt bad before

Did your finger like actually come off or was it dangling?
I remember once I jammed my finger in my car door and though I was gonna die. Shit hurt more than when I tore my ACL. I was damn near crying. And the messed up thing is I was visiting a friend and right when I got out the car and I see his parents, I close the door on my finger. I was holding it in for dear life right there, they ask if I was alright. I said "yeah." Blood dripping everywhere. They said such and such is in the house. I said I'm gonna stay out here for a while, lol.

It was actually daggling by only a few muscle fibers which is why i think i still have feeling (left index finger).. it honestly didn't hurt that bad as i've had plenty of cooking/finger-cutting incidents since i work a lot around computers and am more of a clerical worker than a manual laborer. Never had a full or partial tear of any ligament thank god but the patella contusion/abrasian was pretty bad since a few pieces of bone were chipped off.
also from boxing and being an idiot/fighting in my teenage years i've had at least 2-3 concussions, football was also a big factor, thank god i always got medical treatment though.

Think I've got a Jones fracture. Hurt it back in September, was feeling better a few weeks ago, and then something happened while walking yesterday and it started hurting again.
Kevin Durant, is that you?

I'm not sold old Westbrook. He's good don't get me wrong, but he takes shots away from better teammates.
DO you ever tickle Perk in the locker room to get him to smile?
