'Psychopath' has an awful connotation in our society, for obvious reasons. But just because someone is a psychopath/sociopath doesn't mean they're going to be out serially murdering people. It has a lot to do with the nature/nurture issue. Someone could be wired to be a psycho from birth- if he grows up in a stable enviornment with love, support, etc he can grow to be successful in socially accepted settings. On the flip side if he's abused, exposed to negativity, etc he can grow up to be the Zodiac Killer.

I think just by their nature, certain jobs require someone to be a psychopath/sociopath. Even jobs as exalted as CEO or doctors. Think about what kind of person can carve another person open and mess around with their blood and organs without blinking, without being affected in the least bit by it. Same thing with military snipers. But we view these people are positive contributors to society... but the normal person couldn't do these jobs because they're not wired for it.
