It's time to ban insensitive sports nicknames/logos

A lot of people are crying foul about the name Redskins, or the CLE Indians' Chief Wahoo logo. And I agree. It's an absolute outrage. And come to think of it, there are some other horribly racist heritage-bashing names/logos out there that SHOULD BE CHANGED IMMEDIATELY.

Look at this. A purely disgraceful implication that all Celtic peoples are tobaccy-smokin shamrock-clad leprechauns. It's an abominable representation and I find it offensive. If you want to specify leprechauns, then call the team the leprechauns. Maybe, but this reminds me of another important point. It's time to stop using the 'b' word in all facets of life. PERIOD. (no pun intended).

B-*-*-*-h is a derogatory word used to demean females and is every bit as unacceptable under any circumstance as the n word, the f word, the r word, the d word, the u word, the c word, and all the other words the word police have put on the ban list.

Teams almost always pick predator-type animals for their names (bobcats, sharks, coyotes, timberwolves, wildcats, eagles, ravens, tigers, gators, etc.) Where are all the teams with names like the chickens, hamsters, turtles, swans, etc.? :confusedshrug:
