Mentioned it in the other thread but the most important thing i seen in that scrimage was a healthy haywood.

Oh wow...

The most stacked team in the league in the worst conference in NBA history looks good in a scrimmage.

Color me unimpressed.

so wtf you expect?... of course they are going to run roughshod - it's being staged that way.... nonetheless, lebron will still probably go another 2/4 like he did in Miami... :confusedshrug: :facepalm :oldlol: #realtalk

it's like doing an experiment or staging it like WWE where you put the best talent all on one team to see how bad they can beat everyone.. that is what has happened here for lebron (again)...

damn very underrated dunk by waiters....
and good ball movement, imo the biggest problem for this team is the mental problems. im actually one that thinks they will start winning from day one.

So you think the Cavs will win two titles, and that is bad somehow ?

Two titles would be a massive success to a team that has never won even one, and a state that hasn't had any championships in 50 years.

this team will be special. Miami team was good but this on a whole new level. in miami you had min vet guys and scrubs behind big 3 but here you have guys like Thompson, Waiters, Varejao and Matrix behind. funny thing is that in Miami those guys would be 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th option.

no more rashard lewis, players that should really be ritered and some decoys at center for lebron

Defense looks worse than what you see in an All-Star game. I didn't see Lebron get blocked, not even once, and he usually gets blocked twice in all-star games.

They looked good. This was something to excite the fans. It did that. It also gave an opportunity to publicly gel the team together. It seemed to do a decent job of that. Most importantly, it was fun. People want to overthink it. It's a scrimmage. It's not an NBA game, and it isn't supposed to be. Let's just enjoy it, word?

that Kevin Love defensive highlight at 1:08

that marketing spin!

"KEVIN LOVE WITH A RENEWED EFFORT ON THE DEFENSIVE END!"

"DION WAITERS ISN'T OBESE ANYMORE!"

"GET READY TO HATE ANDERSON VAREJAO AGAIN!"

there are like 9 plays on this with specific messages to the public.

What I gather from the scrimmage...

-Ball movement will be great with this team.
-Marion and Lebron with Kyrie and Love is going to a great stretch lineup.
-Lebron is so good he wasn't even going full speed.
-Defensively they will struggle
-Waiters may be a starter but in the 4th quarter I see this team doing
Kyrie
Marion
Lebron
Love
Haywood or Andy lineup.

Kevin Love looks thin. Like, really thin. Like, maybe too thin.

And what in the actual fauck was James Jones wearing/doing at 2:00??

My take or sense from scrimmage..

Lebron will do a little of everything or what is necessary night to night to help team win. This also looks to be most talented team he has ever been on.

Irving has sky high confidence right now will have a big year.

Love gonna be huge weapon with cavs fast break best outlet passer in NBA.

Waiters is gonna suprise some people this year with his play and overall improvement.

Mike miller if healthy will play quality minutes his range is unlimited. Underrated in other areas. Interesting to see if Marion or miller gets crunch time minutes doubt both will. Depends if they need offense or defense probably.

I think the OP is opening himself for a lot of heartbreak at the end of the season. Sure the Cavs will have it easy in the LEastern Conference, but I don't see them winning a championship this season. Not impressed by scrimmages.

Looking at Lebron though, when running he looks like he gained weight and not the other way around. Hopefully it's just rustiness.

It just fully hit me that there's a team with Lebron James, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Love on it. With a ton of depth. And a quality coach. If they get this together, they are seriously going to shit on the league.

rio is better than tristan and marion offensively.

Scoring actually wasn't the biggest problem for the Heat in The Finals... it was slowing down the Spurs. Rio didn't help much. In fact, he had an all-around putrid playoff run.

I'd be surprised if either TT or Marion play that badly at any point this season. They're not going to be asked to do much more than fill 3&D and 'garbage man' roles, but they'll likely fill those roles well.

The Cavs just fit together better offensively. Whether or not that results in success is yet to be seen, but on paper it looks good.
