Correct me if I'm wrong but I think only deceased people can be commemorated on postage stamps. Right?

jongib369
10-03-2014, 12:26 PM
"The Chamberlain Forever stamps' official commemoration will come on Dec. 5 in Wilt's hometown of Philadelphia in a ceremony held during halftime of the Philadelphia 76ers' home game against Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and the Oklahoma City Thunder at Wells Fargo Center. The ceremony will feature "a special three-dimensional tribute video using the team

GOAT can only be argued if they have 4+ MVPs and 4+ Chips club.

Wilt is as succesful resume wise as Hakeem. So, no. He's not in the convo. How are you going to stan someone you never saw play anyway? There is no connection or attachment.

Bird and Magic have no case?

And OP - the day MJ dies, they'll rename e-mail to J-mail because its so fast, Michigan will be named Mjchigan so its initials are also MJ and the Miami Heat will build a statue of him outside the arena

Lol at the 4 MVP/4 championship arbitrary criteria. Sorry, SS, but GOAT can only be argued if he satisfies the 3 MVP, 2 championship, 50+ NBA records criterion.

Wilt is as succesful resume wise as Hakeem. So, no. He's not in the convo.

No, he isn't as successful as Hakeem. 4 MVP's vs 1, 6 Finals appearances vs 3. No reason to even go to stats.
Likewise, West's vs Oscar's NBA titles are 1-1, and nobody calls them equal at team success.

How are you going to stan someone you never saw play anyway? There is no connection or attachment.

Which is ironically what you practically did in your first phrase, the only difference being, you stanned against him.

Sure. If you ommit like 96 unfathomably dominant records + several Finals appearances and the leader of two GOAT-caliber teams and several dozen scoring/rebounding/assist/accuracy titles beyond Hakeem "first round exit" Olajuwon. Does Hakeems name even exist in the NBA record book?, If so... are a single one of them considered awe inspiring or "unbreakable"? Wilt's got several dozen that literally can't ever be touched. Even your boy MJ didn't put his name in the books like that. Wilt carved his legacy out of granite by playing basketball on such a dominating level people don't believe his accomplishments or records are possible, touchable, or fair.

Hakeem level resume... pffffffft

Records that only translated to 2 rings. That's GOAT material? :oldlol:

Btw "wilt" and "leader" don't belong in the same sentence.

Russell - 11 Rings, 6-8 FMVPs realistically if the award was given out back then.

IMO Russell is the only candidate for GOAT other than Jordan. Just like the Yankees 26 championships is unrivaled for any sports team in any major sport worldwide, Russell's 11 rings is insanity. Doesn't matter that his team was crazy stacked, Wilt was in the league after all, and there have been many incredibly stacked teams in sports history that did not recreate that kind of success.

MJ GOAT, but MJ/Russell could be Co-GOAT.

I normally don't respond to stupidities like this but:

Rofl, you loser Wilt fans can only talk about records, why not talk about his finals record for being the biggest loser with 2 rings.

:facepalm
Because we're not comparing teams, that's why. Because Sam ****ing Jones has 10 rings and nobody cares, since he doesn't hold any records. Records are way more significant than rings and Wilt holds like as many as the next 5 GOATs combined.
