In a preview of 1986 WCF, Rockets and Lakers squared off in a packed Forum for the first time in 85/86 campaign and played one of the best regular season games in the 80's. Just check these numbers:

Hakeem Olajuwon: 29 points, 13 rebounds, 14/24 FG.

Ralph Sampson: 32 points, 9 rebounds, 9 assists, 14/23 FG.

Kareem Abdul Jabbar: 35 points, 7 rebounds, 17/26 FG.

Magic Johnson 18 points, 14 assists, 6/11 FG.

Great battle in the paint between 38-year-old Jabbar and young ''Twin Towers'', Olajuwon and Sampson.

Lakers won the game 120:112.

Magic had one like this in the halfcourt over Ewing too.... he's actually had quite a few posters in his career... i might do a dunk collection for him - it would be a lot more impressive than most realize.... magic's posters were always super-sick and ugly (both in a good way, like your face cringes).

Yeah, Magic's dunks were coming at unexpected times, often against defenders you wouldn't expect him dare dunk on. He also has at least one similar "cake delivery" dunk against McHale.

As long as you don't argue he's a better dunker than Vince Carter, I'm good.

Kareem at 38 still showing them young bucks how to do it :applause: Against two extremely athletic and young 7 footers (well Hakeem not a "legit" one though).

Sophomore Hakeem already showing the great skill in the post, that didn't come overnight.

Sampson at 7'3'' and very athletic with a PF's game (jumpers with range, ball-handling, passing) was fun to watch.
That Houston team had lots of potential and were great already, shame that it all went down the drain.

Sweet dishes by Magic as always, and nice dunk there, he had some of those ("unexpected") ones throughout his career.
