Israel's war on Hamas – a terrorist group that had millions of Israelis running into bomb shelters everyday – and Hamas/Hezbollah/other extremist groups use of suicide bombings in restaurants, shopping malls, coffee shops, etc the past few decades is not equivalent whatsoever. Walking into a coffee shop and setting off a bomb to kill yourself and kill innocents won't amount to anything positive. It is to instill fear and terror. When Israel is fired upon by thousands of rockets, they have no choice but to retaliate or at least neutralize the bunkers which are often built in civilian areas (how would you feel if the US army built a military base in your living room, school, and church?... Not a very good feeling I'm assuming).

You get criticized a lot, often justifiably, but just presenting statistics is never wrong.
Its amazing that people see christian or jewish militants as equivlant to islamic militants. Its like comparing getting punched in the face to taking a sledgehammer swing in the face.
