View Full Version : How do I know if a Breitling watch is real?

Yesterday we had my girls parents over, and after dinner me and her father sat down and I looked at his watch and told him it looked good, he rocks different watches week to week but this one looked dope. He was like, "yeah, I've had it for awhile, but I'm thinking of retiring it or do you want it?". I was like you sure?
Anyway didn't bother to ask I was just happy he gave it to me, I love clocks and have my own little collection, no Breitling though. He is a really generous man but it begs the question, is it real? I would've asked him but 'it's the thought that counts' or w/e and I think it would've been rude to do it.

Yeh he loaded, I doubt he'd wear a fake but you never know.

I don't know if it is fake or real as counterfeits are very close in making the real thing. One thing for certain is to take it to a watchmaker and have him open the back of the case.
Your particular watch is the Breitling Avenger II, if I am not mistaken. Here are pictures of a real one for comparisons. I know your watch is worn out.

After further examination from just pictures. I am going to say it's real.
The small details are very very similar.
Wear in good health.

Little advice that will go very far. Since it is a big watch, like most Breitlings are, I don't know what your wrist size is but you should adjust it to fit your wrist.
No matter the watch or cost, it never looks good to have a dangling watch. Make sure it fits proper.

I hadn't strapped it on the pic, it sits pretty good on me. It sucks that you can't adjust it though.

Throw it off a bridge. If it sinks, it's real.

A clock is the most important accessory even if you include clothing.
