Seriously the best theme ever. If you never got a boner from hearing the theme before every NBA finals in the 90s then you're straight up lying.

TNT is an extension of NBC (postgame with Inside The NBA and the tandem of Harlen/Marv), so I can't complain.

ESPN on the other hand, is a total shit show. If not NBC, move the games back over to CBS or something.

I'm suprised NBA can't get enough major network deal to go along with ABC/ESPN and TNT.

NFL has NBC, CBS, Fox and ESPN.

MLB has Fox, TBS, ESPN and FS1.

What? ABC is a major network deal. Not too long ago, ABC was hosting superbowls, plus Sunday and Monday night football.

Cap would increase to somewhere around $80M. What's going to **** everyone over is the new max will be so huge that even with more money, it still will be hard to fit in a few max guys, so the added cap doesn't give you much flexibility (because, a Durant would take that extra money anyway). Who does it help ? Those who want to fit in more around their own players, because all of a sudden more room opens up.

Knicks have Melo at the low max deal. Which means we have flexibiltiy around our star, while Durant, Lebron will get mega super max with less flexibility. I like.

The NBA ON NBC is forever gone. Because it wouldn't be the same without Michael Jordan still playing.

But, at least we can still hear the theme song which is written by John Tesh on Youtube, etc..

Word.

Back in the day, the NBA on CBS was the shit. Around that time, we also had NBA games on TBS. After that, TNT came into being and took over NBA games for Turner and TBS for a time only played Atlanta Hawks games. Then we got the NBA on NBC.

Great time to be an NBA fan back then. Great teams, great broadcasts. Only good thing we got going on today is TNT. ESPN/ABC sucks.

TNT is awesome, so I'm glad they still have them.

ESPN is okay, but they need better analysts and commentators. Mike Breen is boring.

There needs to be a petition that every ESPN game has to be commentated by Mike Tricio and Hubie Brown.

Mike Breen and Jeff Van Gundy are better.

Breen is good during big games and JVG is the guy that complains about everything. When the games are exciting Tricio shows up big. Otherwise yeah they're very boring.

I like JVG because his extensive background in the game gives him the confidence to speak his mind about something, and the intelligence to back it up. Whether you like or dislike his criticisms, whether they be about a play in particular, a player, a rule, etc. you have to at least recognize it's not just some pre-scripted BS that a lot of other announcers crank out like robots.

When a game was on NBA on NBC it felt really important. A regular season game on NBC was like how a playoff game feels on ABC or ESPN.

124 million is now going to be considered a low max contract? How much are these guys going to make? Lol

So 11 more years of NBA on espn, that's not good. So 11 more years of sh^tty presentation. Bad commentators, terrible music their way of trying to be hip, and over hyping crap. Maybe they will fire everyone and stop being nazi's at espn and put on a good show someday there. Watching espn is hard.

Lebron is probably going to sign for something like $160M.

Durant can't sign for that much, because he will only have 9 years experience, and you need 10+ to be eligible for a full max deal. He'll still get $135M or so though.

2016 is going to be a really crazy offseason, with almost all teams suddenly having capspace.

Get ready for another lockout in 2017. Billionaire owners won't be able to cry "we're losing money" this time around.

Players are going to want to get paid!
