I agree Shaq and LeBron aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer, but they're both very large individuals.

lol Wade had the greatest Finals series of all time and Shaq was garbage.

A much better question is if Lebron can win anything without requiring two superstars.

Because we all saw what happened in Cleveland the first time around.

Despite Wade being super alpha there, Shaq was still a borderline 20 and 10 with 60% shooting. Thats not garbage, man. He had help.

Not in the Finals though. I think Shaq barely average 14 and 6

20 and 10 in the playoff 60% shooting.
16 and 10 in the finals 60% shooting.

I wouldnt consider that a garbage. As any player who has won the finals and fmvp, he didnt do it alone. Look at what he has accomplished when he has been alone without Lebron or Shaq. You dont get championships in basketball without a VERY good team around you. Wade isnt different.

It definitely wasn't 16/10

Antoine Walker was the 2nd leading scorer with ~13

Show me the team Riley built to compete without Shaq or Bron?

This year is by far the best team of Wade's career without those 2. Current Beasley is far better than young Beasley, and that was the 2nd option. Current Beasley is signing camp deals

:oldlol: You have a very generous rounding system when it comes to points.

But Dwyane Wade spearheaded the attack on the 2006 Heat title team. And that's indisputable. Nobody ever said he didn't have a sufficient cast around him.

They don't hear you, though. They hurl out this nonsense without any context.

Doesn't really matter. Both were colluding frontrunners that came to Wades team to be his sidekick, and Wades best years were spent carrying them to chips. The real question is whether they can win without Wade. Shaq did ( with an SG better than Wade), but can LeBald with the 3rd most stacked team in NBA history:confusedshrug: ?

Not to anyone who judges a player by his basketball playing and not his name. Its fairly obvious the Heat won 2 titles without 3 superstars. One year Bosh missed half the playoffs and produced like Horace great(with worse defense and rebounding) when he did play.

Anyway....why does it matter if Wade wins without anyone?

Has it ever mattered for anyone else?

The al time great lists are full of people who won only with other people on the list....

This isnt new.

Shaq wasn't that good in the Finals in '06 and his defense was subpar. He did hit some incredibly clutch FT's though. Game 3, I believe.

Shaq avged 14-10 on 60% FG, 29% FT with 8 FTA.

those are Wilt chamberlain finals numbers.

Bosh played amazing defense all his time as a Heatle.. and also was the teams most consistent and best rebounder (regardless of what your stats say)..

and he certainly wasnt injured "most of the playoffs".. he missed a handful of games against the Pacers, but came back to dominate game 7 to help the Heat win the series..

LOL at your revisionist history.. always defending your boy Lebron.. it must really hurt you to know he doesnt have Kobes 5 rings

He played 14 of 23 games...started 10. He started 10 playoff games of 23 and put up a rounded up 14/8. As I said...Horace Grant.

no. without dominant shaq, leberon or refs.....d-whistle cant win shit.

lets see what he can do now with his team. he has a strong team, ECF are a must.
pacers without george and stephenson are clearly below heat. chicago...we will see.

normaly ECF cavs vs heat

Ignoring the rest of your retarded post and posting about the bolded part. Strong team? I hope so. The fact remains that Deng is far from being what he used to be. Granger is pretty much done (I do hope that he has a bounce back season though). Wade is not in his prime anymore. If Wade had this team (with a slight change in the bench) in '09 and '10, they would've probably made the Finals. If Deng, Wade, Granger, and Bosh play up to their abilities, then it's gonna be the Heat vs the Cav's in the ECF.

Isn't it time we put these "so and so needed so and so to win" topics to rest? Every all time great who's won a title has had either another all time great teammate(s) or an outstanding collective supporting cast. Shitty teams don't win championships. What is so hard about that concept to grasp?

He had an allstar and future HOFer Gasol, sixth man of the year Odom, an excellent group of role players, and arguably the GOAT coach.

stop the embellishment. gasol never won a playoff game without kobe, odom was a shell of his former self, and he was left with fisher, bynum, and the lunatic artest as well as shannon brown (lol) and others. he did the most with the least during that repeat.

Bosh won a whopping 3 playoff games, in the east no less, yet he's constantly referred to as a superstar teammate and great help for LeBron

:facepalm He had Pau Gasoft i'll give you that, but that guys not even a hall of famer and arguably not even top 150 all time. Phil Jackson isn't the GOAT coach. He's only overrated by people like you because he coached the GOAT player.

So you're saying Kobe got outplayed in a Game 7 of the Finals by a player that's not even a HOF or in the top 150 of all time?
