ESPN has made plenty of forays into streaming video, but services like WatchESPN typically require that you already have TV service. That partly defeats the point of viewing online, don't you think? However, you might not face that limitation for much longer. According to sources for the Wall Street Journal, the NBA has signed a pact with Disney (ESPN's parent) to launch a new streaming service that doesn't demand a cable or satellite subscription.

They should just do an American version of NFL gamepass. I pay 20 or so a month for all NFL games, redzone, nfl network, and archives. I just have to use a service that tells the NFL im not in america to buy it.

Id buy it from the NBA given the chance...except that they would charge way more than ball streams and still impose blackouts.

Sweet deal. Television is dying. The NBA is keeping up with the times. Everything is all about streams now

League pass has blackouts, doesnt cover off season/special events, no AS weekend, and nothing on nationally.

Ball streams has virtually everything NBA related for half the price.

International NBA league pass is so much better than league pass

No blackout, every RS and PO games, archived games, all star, finals

You can stream like 800k or 3000. Bad connection or good ballstreams is the pick. Even has a phone app. I watch it on wifi at times.

And im sure ballstreams is illegal in the US...but its based in Europe so the ycant be touched. They have done this for years...

blacking out games is srsly retarded. why would anyone get League Pass because of this?

if I shell out for a premium service, I expect to be able to watch everything.

When i had dishnetwork, it was impossible to legally watch sixers games, even though I had league pass. Can't get Comcast Sports Network on the dish  .
