Me too. One of those things that has been in my Netflix Cue since I signed up. But it's a little daunting. It's just a hair old enough for me not to have been able to been into it when it was out. I think I was in 6th grade. But it's one of those things my friends older brothers, and my older cousins, all rave about.

Yeah same here.. I need to watch it when I'm in the right mood. So that the dated stuff doesn't bother me. It's also a bit of a parody too, so I need to keep that fact in perspective.

Didn't it fail once already when they tried to remake the series?

It's a bizarre show to say the least, can't say I can point to any show before or since that's like it (outside of maybe the Twilight Zone). But I can definitely see its influence on shows that have come out since that played with the meta reality idea- specifically The Sopranos, Lost. Takes a little while to get into and get used to the soap opera delivery but it definitely pays off.

And *SPOILER* it's really cool that they're coming out with this 25 years after the original premiere for the obvious:

I wonder if Lynch had planned that from the beginning.

Was thinking this but couldn't remember if 25 was the actual number mentioned on the show. They might have planned it from off, and that would be remarkable. That would also mean they anticipated how much popularity it would maintain. I always thought this was a possibility due to the ageing in the lodge thing, but i didn't think they'd actually do it.

The show was great at giving you the chills, and i got it a little again after seeing that.

I was just getting into some of Lynch's work (Eraserhead, Blue Velvet) when this show came out. I couldn't believe ABC was taking that risk. Great stuff. There's a young Heather Graham and David Duchovny in drag among other weird gems.
