Pierce was a terrific player and very underrated...but I can find scorers that can collectively match Pierce's scoring impact to complement Pippen's playmaking ability.

Whereas I'm sure as hell not gonna find a player with the combination of GOAT-caliber perimeter defense and elite point-forward ability that Pippen had just lying around in free agency.

If I'm building a team, I'm taking prime Pippen. Give him someone like Lillard as his #2, and that's potentially a championship duo with good coaching and a well constructed supporting cast. I would need more to get a PP-led team to that level.

Only thing Pierce has over Pip is scoring, and the Bulls didn't need Pip to score a lot. Scottie owns Pierce in every other meaningful stat.

In late game situations, definitely. Lillard would be the go-to guy in the clutch. But all in all I'd run my offense through Pippen quite often, and the difference defensively is monumental. Just technicalities here, all I'm saying is that Lillard would be the 2nd best player on the team.

-Pippen by a light years no explanation needed.

Rebounding?
-Pippen, 172 offensive rebound per season compare to lebron's 93 and lebron tons of rebound came from easy to get defensive rebound which comes from stat padding garbage time, stealing defensive rebound from a teammates, Lebron rarely box-out and just waiting for opponent miss shot.

Intangibles?
-Pippen by a miles, hustle, never give up,getting loose ball, settings good screen, don't cry on ref if there's no call and run through opponents transition(completely opposite of lebron).

Footwork?
Pippen, pippen is slightly better, its due to him having the luxury to practice with MJ and lebron often travel on the post.

Craftiness?
Pippen by a miles, Pippen and MJ are one of the most craftiest player in NBA, using opponent strength against them, using their bodies to shield their little dirty tricks to avoid foul, Lebron only have FLOP and that's it.

Dunk?
LOL Pippen by a miles, Lebron is afraid of contact and most of his dunk were open one, Pippen dunk on ewing alone shit on any lebron dunk hell even pippen other poster dunk shit on any lebron dunk.

Off-the ball offense
Pippen by a miles, Lebron off the ball offense suxs, no need to explain, the entire spurs player has a better off the ball offense than lebron.

Pippen is a better player for most teams (fits in easier) and is probably the better player for the first 47 mins, but in crunch time give me Pierce. That's what makes it a close comparison. Pierce can close out games and hit clutch shots with the best of them.
