The sad thing is, you could do a better job putting your face into Goldeneye on the N64 using a Gameboy Camera. How is it taking them this long to get this shit into games again?

But honestly, I have seen some good results, but it's been a rough go of it so far for most people. Apparently, as one could assume, there's a lot of outside factors to account for with this thing. If anyone picks up the game, here's some quick tips for the camera:

1. Natural lighting preferred
2. Find a backdrop that matches your skin tone (some people have seen tints of color - like green - pop up on their face from having a mismatched backdrop)
3. Place the camera on a stationary surface
4. If the camera loses you at all (green box turns red), start over
5. Turn head about 30 degrees from center when asked (kinda pointing one's cheekbones at camera)
6. Lift chin, possibly work some neck into frame (it seems to expect for a chin-up pose, resulting in the feared double face if one's scan is too low)
7. Maintain eye contact

It all sounded really tedious to me when I first looked into it but I mean, we're scanning our own freaking faces into a video game - it's probably bound to require a bit of detail.
