View Full Version : Don't sleep on Jordan Clarkson
Dude played like a stud in the summer hoops and now the preseason. I think this guy will be a solid NBA starter after 2 seasons. Who is the best comparison for him?

Why would I?
He'd make a horrible bed.

Poor man's Westbrook right now. Not bad.

Poor man's Westbrook is great for a 2nd round pick. How about a more athletic George Hill?

They do look the same :oldlol:
Last night was the first time I saw him. He plays with a lot of poise and confidence for a 19yr old 2nd round pick.
I could def see him becoming a solid starter.

I would absolutely take a poor man's Westbrook. He kept bricking that floater, but I loved his confidence to keep trying.
Someone was trolling in the GT about how these rookies think they're Lebron and Wade or something. Once again, how is that a bad thing? I WANT confident rookies.

That floater usually falls, it was in Summer League and Training Camp. Those were good looks. What's more important imo is that he didn't quit , he kept fighting, on both sides of the ball.

Role player at best.
Role player at best.
Starter or backup? I think a slightly better version of George Hill is his ceiling.

If your team is stating Clarkson, that's probably not a good sign.

Shitting on your squad last night, and that was an off game for him.

That was shitting on us? :oldlol:
Laker fan standards have fallen I see.
And how does He have an off night in his very first nba game ever? Maybe that ends up being his best game ever. Nothing to compare too.

I'm not talking about right now. I talking about two seasons from now. You don't know how much he will improve.

True. Does anyone know how much any player will improve?

He's got elite level talent, the only reason he fell in the draft was due to an incident with marijuana a month before the draft. Before then he was projected as a late teen pick. Lakers got a steal, he's gonna be a top 5 rook this year

His numbers dipped after his father was diagnosed with a rare form of spinal cancer too. Sneaky pick by the Lakers.

This is a very good point. His stock fell big time because he had issues outside the game regarding weed... The kid looks really good for a rook though man he will be a solid player and it was a great pick for the Lakers because he's certainly good enough to be an impact player off the bench. Great insurance policy for us this season because Nash is probably going to miss a chunk of games at his age.
First pre-season game, he looked okay. I know he shot 3-13 but he was making it from deep and hit all his FTs, rebounded the ball. Was among the guys that played 27+ min and didn't turn the ball over at once and only had 1 foul, he can definitely play 15-20 min a game.
