There I said it. Dirk is going to be extra motivated this season with his amazing supporting cast that he will have this season. Ellis is going to continue on his stellar play from last season being in top 2 scoring on his respected team. If Chandler stays healthy, then watch out NBA fans because he will be that helpful player to back up dirk inside that paint like he did in his first stint with the mavs. Nelson is not the same but he will still be a solid point and helped them a lot during the postseason due to his playoff and finals experience. Parsons will continue his ability to score and might even have a breakout season too. The bench will help out in their roles as well also with players like Harris, Charlie Vill, and R.Jeff. Watch out for this team ISH. What you think about the '15 mavs and how far will they go in the playoffs?

Charlie V has never played in the playoffs. Harris, Nelson, and Jefferson are on the down side of their careers too. I don't think they do anything to bolster the Mavericks playoff run.

How about the knicks?

I understand but I think they will do good in this system though. Nelson will help out Dirk tremendously, he still have some speed in him too.

Villanueva might not even make the final roster

Some of their new additions will help them out. Richard Jefferson can still play a little. He can probably give the Mavs around 8-10 ppg. Jameer Nelson is a nice upgrade over Calderon and Raymond Felton can be a pretty good backup if he stays healthy. Tyson Chandler can do the defensive and rebounding work. Mavs' biggest addition, Chandler Parsons, will help them well. Overall the team is definitely better from last year but even if everyone stays healthy, it'll still be tough for them to make the WCF because they gotta beat Thunder, Spurs, Clippers, or Warriors. They have a good chance at making a nice run in the postseason but since they're in the West, every round will be very hard.

They can beat them.

You're saying it like it'll be a piece of cake. The Thunder, Clippers and Warriors are serious teams.

They are but I don't have faith in them maybe except for the clippers if blake shoots all year the way he did tonight.

Terrible at pg and center. Always a recipe for disaster. Even w a good coach and that great at the 5 and super good at least 2/3. No takeover players off the bench. Almost everyone of the "names" that keep getting listed are all on the downside

Lol what about the Thunder? They're good every year. I think they have a really good chance to go all the way this season if every guy on their roster stays healthy.

They improved their matchups against everyone except OKC. Westbrook + Durant will toast them in a series.

Mavs always had OKC's number in matchups and theyve only gotten a deeper roster. Meanwhile OKC refuses to change theirs

1) if dirk is gonna have another good year = Mavs fighting for the 7-8th spot in the west

2) if dirks performance collapse ----> ciao ciao playoffs

simple as that.

The west is gonna be brutal this year. Mavs have a ton of new players again, lots of questions marks, and like every team in the West, they will be in trouble if a key player goes down for any extended time.

Silly to be trying to predict them making the WCF. Lets just worry about making the playoffs first.

If Tyson Chandler is healhy he is far from terrible. A solid rebounding and defending big man that can get you a few point from putbacks and tip ins. He was a big part of that championship team in 2011

Tyson is getting really underrated these days. Although, it makes sense, considering the hate is coming from NY fans.

If Dirk can keep up his play from last season, this team should be able to win it all.
