Knicks are gonna be East darkhorses if

1. Amar'e is truly healthy
2. Fish knows how to coach
3. Pjax does work

Can you give a real life, tangible example of #3 on that list?

The fact that he's healthy and melo still thinks his team isn't that good says alot about how much the knicks need to do be competitive again

Il Mago/Dalembert/Cole
Amare/Jason Smith
Melo/Outlaw/Acy
Earl Smith jr/Iman/Hardaway
Calderon/Pablo/Larkin

Such a great lineup

I heard he was talking about his solitaire game. Definitely wasn't talking about basketball.

Knicks would have a great roster if Amar'e could play like 2010-11 Amar'e.. but I doubt it, even if he got to 80% of that the Knicks would bake.

Knicks are a joke. Nothing is going to change until the change the roster. Amare has been done for years.

Good, amare is way too talented on the offensive end to go to waste.
I'd like to see him lineup at centre with melo at pf, but the defence would probably suck.

He's still just going to get in Melo's way like when Melo first came to NY
He's still not going to play D

Just letting the casuals here know...

Amare says this every single year

Hes one of those people who are cockeyed optimists but almost to a fault. He has an ability to convince himself that the negative things in life are either erroneous or dont exist.

He is though probably the hardest worker in the gym of anybody in the entire league, he has always maintained a muscular physique and he takes pride in maintaining his body with exercise.

However, that hasnt translated to health on the court.

To his credit though hes been able to do something 99% of veteran players have never been able to do, and thats re-invent his offensive game at thos stage in his career.

He said DAntoni told him to never work on post up moves in Phoenix and to just run and feed off Steve. Amare now has a post game so if hes healthy hell be apositive for us and not a black hole.

I am really intrigued to see STAT in the triangle playing the high post.

Although I'm not expecting the first half of 2010-2011 STAT, that dude really impressed me, especially on defense.

STAT in his final year oh his contract, just saiyan... Last time I checked, the negros that have 0 chance of winning a chip are ACTUALLY MOTIVATED in their final year so... This nikka gonna average 23 pts this season. Watch.

I don't know about all of that. Don't sleep too much on the knicks this year.
