The scream made me hate it. Anyone who screams or tries to act macho after a dunk automatically loses their NBA man card they would have otherwise just earned. Posterizing somebody and casually jogging back on defense like such a play is routine makes posters seem much more impressive than the ones tainted by an emotional outburst. Outbursts of emotion are effeminate and a sign of weakness.

Dude, give him a little credit. We're not talking about Shawn Kemp here.
Usually when you hear "Gordon Hayward" and "dunk" in the same sentence it's something like this

I think he earned the scream. That was a NASTY dunk. Freeland is almost a 7' (and is one in shoes on the court) As Collie said looked like the 2nd coming of Tom Chambers

I'm being serious. If I was this dudes dad I would have called him up that night and told him he shamed the family with that sissy scream on television and that he should apologize to his mother.

The dunk was great, don't mind my negativity I'm just being opinionated to level the playing field.. I alsso just watched a play where a player screamed after taking a charge from Vince Carter and even Vince told him to chill out :oldlol:

I know you're serious. That's what makes it perplexing. Sometimes people need to let it out. Sometimes it feels good to let out a scream after a major athletic feat. He was feeling himself. Felt good. Felt like a monster. In your world of everyone being robotic, soulless drones, I wouldn't want to live in it. It sounds silly. Kemp and VC made their dunks much more grand by their celebrations and roars of excitement. It's not a big deal to let out a scream.

My world isn't robotic, men feel joy, they celebrate it internally. Boys and women feel the need to "let it out" and "express". It's a sign of immaturity and being effeminate.

Is this the part where I show clips of every single player within the top 10 showing excessive emotion? Get real.

After achieving a major career milestone, such as winning in the Finals or what have you, uncorking some emotion becomes acceptable. It makes sense following long-term pain, hardwork or sacrifice.
After dunking on someone and really only achieving 2 points in a preseason game.. well, you are an NBA player and should be well accustomed to such a play.
Also, you won't find everyone in the top 10 screaming in celebration after dunking on someone. I already know 3 big men who never did.

Who the f cares if he screamed or not? I first watched without sound and then I had to put my phones on just because of this bs.
Not big deal if a guy wants to scream his guts out or don't. I'm fine with it either way as long he goes back on defense on time.

Thats insane hangtime. And why the racist comments about the dunk?
If we said something about a black guy doing something 'intelligent', how quickly would it be deemed racist?

He's also had nice hops, there was a season 1 or 2 years ago where he was getting like a crazy chase down block every other game.

A whole generation of dunkers need to learn a lesson from Dr. J, the coolest guy to ever play professional basketball.

He jumped off the opposite foot too, that's what impresses me mostAgreed. I didn't know he had that ability off either leg. If I try to dunk off my right foot I look like I have down syndrome.

Gus Johnson would have turned his head and run back down the court to play defense.
