Can somebody please fact check this, somebody just tweeted this today that this was apparently Wilt's complete (unofficial) stat line
:biggums:
That'd be a god damn quadruple double AND double triple-double ...combined ...all in one game.
:wtf:
Anyone got newspaper clippings or articles or w/e that can source this? Google News Archives have been shut down for quite some time now so I no longer can browse for game recaps.

You know damn well that you are one of the biggest Wilt stans in the world and the only one with the time, ability, and motivation to fact check it is you.

Good thing there was no fantasy basketball back then. 1st pick = auto victory.

I'm good at finding footage and pics but there are other posters on here who are more resourceful with newspaper articles and/or advanced stats.

the more these type of obscure stat lines come up from the past, the less impressed I am of the competition. how do you allow one guy to score 52 points, grab 32 boards, block 24 and steal 11 of your teams possessions? what a joke smh

Quintuple double, actually.
This is arguably the GOAT performance (Wilt also shot 24-29 FG's in that game), even without the unofficial stats. Having said this, I've also seen a 13 blocked shots estimation, which means that the 24 figure may be the combination of steals + blocks.
Oh, and guess who his personal opponent was in a part of that game. :lol

The last game of the season, against the Lakers.
This is an example of why - I am absolutely alone in saying it, by the way (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=309468&page=8) - I have been unwavering, all my life, in my opinion that Wilt Chamberlain was better in '68 than he was in '67.
I saw those years, drove to many, many games, and I'm just tellin' you it was like I said.
He was at the very height of his powers that year, and the arenas were on their feet across the entire country!!
