I know Lebron got tons or total rebound compare to MJ but don't be fool by his statpadding ass.

MJ>>>>Lebron on rebound here is why:

Most of Lebron rebound comes from easy to get defensive rebound. He rarely box out and fight for a rebound and if he fight for a rebound he often lose. He just wait for the opponent miss shot and steal rebound from teammates and if his teammates doesn't let him get his rebound, he'll be pissed. Look at this video, may be it's also one of the reason why Lebron leave the Heat.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZhm0wcwn0c tsk tsk such a diva.

Let see their offensive rebound stat.

MJ: From his rookie year up his 9th year, MJ collect 1131 offensive boards.
Lebron: From his rookie year up to today, LBJ collect 1030 offensive boards.

And lebron is 6'8 250+ lbs and is playing in an era of watered down bigman.

Another facts:
MJ: 125.66 offensive rebound per season( in his prime) rookie-9th year.
MJ: 119 offensive rebound per season on chicago
MJ: 111 offensive rebound per season on both chicago and wizard
Lebron: 93.6 offensive rebound per season(still prime)rookie-11th year
and this wil still go down as LBJ fade.

Offensive rebound is very hard to get because you have to fight for it every time and it takes so much energy and skills to get one and in MJ's case his doing this on Bigman golden era.

So in terms of hustle and rebounding, good anticipation and guessing if the ball will miss or not.....MJ>>>Lebron.

MJ craftiness and taking advantage of opponent mistake by not blocking him out.

i evaluate players on skill, stats and competition. lebron simply does more than anyone in history, including jordan - and its not very close.

scoring: wash (lebron was more efficient
playmaking: lebron
rebounding: lebron
overall defense: lebron (can guard multiple positions on the floor)
athleticism: lebron
competition faced: lebron

lebron is a better rebounder because of his size, speed, and strength. essentially a pg in a PF body out-rebounding most of his peers H2H.

a better playmaker, also because of his height and strength (checkout his FULL court passes). there isn't anything he CANT do on the floor, which makes him the toughest cover in history. beethoven in sneakers

Theyre both comparable athletes
the difference is MJ is one of the most skilled players ever while Lebron is still a terrific athlete with some smarts. Hes not a technical or very skilled player just physically very dominant

outside of volume scoring, jordan has nothing on lebron and Kobe is better at every facet of the game - scoring (efficiently), shooting (three ball) defense, ball-handling, off hand, etc.

jordan has no CONSISTENT long range and was close to a liability in that regard. he struggled to score against taller, athletic swingmen, evident by his numbers during the 2nd 3 peat and wizards stint.

jrodan also lost 9 times in the playoffs, winning just once before pippen, the better all-around player of the two was drafted. he had a loaded roster, and his leadership is overrated.

jordan is the GOAT SG , but lebron > jordan overall.

1) he was generally guarded by a shorter defender (2-3 inches shorter)
2) he was able to back his shorter defender down 1 on 1.

lebron Defenders:

jordan Defenders:

lebron faces better, bigger, stronger, athletic players night in and night out against zone defenses (illegal in Jordan's day). all the elite defenders of the 80s were 6'4" and under (look it up).

typical defenders jordan faced 6''2 -6''5, less athletic

regardless if you think shorter defenders are better or taller defenders are better, you can see that lebron goes up against more athletic taller defenders. FACT.

also, you consider that lebron 2003-2014 played against BOTH zone and handchecking (they still allow it) and his best season during that time span 2012 .FACT
Jordan only faced handchecking, not zone in his prime. FACT

Garbage - Lebron gets an open paint on most possessions as you see below, due to the floor-spreaders (also seen below) and defensive 3 seconds, which further clears the paint of defenders:

http://gifsforum.com/images_new/gif/other/grand/aecd1ae80afe43c370373ea68b30122d.gif

I once averaged out the height of every starting SG in NBA Live 95, and compared it to the average height of current SG (around 2010), and the 1995 SG were a little bit taller.

I don't remember most shooting guard being 6'3", 6'4" then. I saw someone in this page mention Payton as an example, he was a 6'4" PG. And even being a PG he was a better defender than every SG today.

Jordan is a better rebounder. Lebron's position allows him to be nearer the basket, nevertheless Jordan averaged 6.2 rpg during his career including his stint in Washington, where else Lebron has 7.2 rpg career playing a position nearer the basket. What's more impressive, Jordan did it vs 90s and 80s bigs playing as a guard.

Forwards always have advantage over guards in terms of rebounding. Comparing their career rpg stats, Lebron only has 1rpg difference against Michael.

Did you read the OP?....

Despite the bigger size, Lebron gets WAAAAAAAY less offensive rebounds than Jordan, year-in-year-out.

So Lebron only gets the easy rebounds....and at 6'8", his 7.2 rebound average is UNDERACHIEVING.... do you realize that?

You're listing SF's vs SG's :facepalm Ofc SF's are usually taller, like how Bron is taller than MJ  You'll put a dude like Battier, Pierce or Kirilenko... on Jordan and he's getting blown by more often than not, though :oldlol:

D-Wade's not even 6'4 w/o shoes, neither is Tony Allen, Avery Bradley's 6'2, James Harden's 6'4 (can't talk about him when it comes to defense though lmfao)....

Sidney Moncrief (legit 6'4) or Michael Cooper (6'5 bare minimum) would still be the best perimeter defenders in the game had they been playing today, for example.

In fact, league's height average has decreased, and that's even with players being listed with shoes on nowadays.

Shit, people like to talk about the athleticism, and I'd argue that a dude like Larry Bird was guarded by more athletic players, overall/on average, than LeBron has, especially/mostly coming playoff time.

You're just a troll though, a sad tool, proven by stuff like this:

i evaluate players on skill, stats and competition. lebron simply does more than anyone in history, including jordan - and its not very close.
