With all these vert threads, let's take a look at the highest in game jumps/dunks of all time. This MUST be from an in game play, whether from an alley oop attempt, dunk, block/block attempt, whatever. So no open gym practice, no dunk contest dunks, just real in game plays.

I'm sure there are a few who have gotten farther up there but this is ALWAYS what I think about when I hear the word vert

This one doesn't count because it isn't an in-game play but just shows how high the man can get http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-_WMOG7p8oLY/UIyfpwuxYfI/AAAAAAAAIgU/jkuxwDS3Hwg/s1600/gerald-green-head-over-rim.jpg

these guys that specialize in dunking and put all their energies and focus into dunking never impressed me that much...

there are guys not in the NBA that ALSO focus exclusively on dunking, and some of them can jump higher than guys itl.

You're using horrible angles.......the ones behind a player and below the rim are the worst...especially when the player is way closer to the camera than the rim like Green.

Jamario moon's inhuman rebound. When is the last time you've heard the crowd oooooo-ing and aaahhh-ing over a rebound?

Biggest tease of all time in the dunk contest and even regular in game dunks. Dude was a boring dunker. Extremely athletic, though.
