Isn't it odd how Tyreke Evans, who was nowhere near as hyped as many players coming into the league, did 20/5/6 on great percentages, at least for a rookie? Crazy shit. People thought he had next. He's fell all the way off. Unfortunate.

He was a balllhog who got the rock in his hands every possession he was on the floor on a bad team with no scoring options.

Its a different situation. Willie Burton once scored over 50 points in an NBA game.

crazy shit happens, with Wiggins he should trend upward for five years depending on how close he gets to greatness.

I do think he'll surprise people and take the ROY (presumably away from Jabari).

If you're doing 3 years, I'll say 24/6/4 for 2nd year, and 27/7/4 for 3rd year.

he doesnt finish great at the rim, and even though his jumper looks nice, i think he could end up leaning on that jumper too much to have a better FG%. So despite his athleticism, I dont think he will be that efficient a scorer.

Jabari is gonna get ROY, but wiggins could make second team all defense by his second year.

I think Jabari will get ROY, but Wiggins will be the better player in the future.

You say that like it's easy for any rookie to just do 20/5/5 if put in the right situation. I'm pretty sure only Jordan, LeBron and Oscar did it. It's pretty transcendent and you shouldn't take away from it. Why are you mentioning some dude going off for 50 anyway? This is sustained excellence for a rookie during the duration of a season. Not even comparable.

Will be considered an elite defender who needs to fine tune his offensive play, get a more consistent jumper, and become a better playmaker (which IMO comes with age, not everyone comes in with LJ's court vision). Took Kobe until he was about 20-21 to really find his playmaking ability.

Eventually I think Wiggins will be a player similar to Kobe 2001 just far more athletic. In 4 years time, I'm going to make a prediction he averages 26ppg/8rbs/5asts. Will be a top 3 MVP candidate around the age of 24.

Great rookie year, he will eventually become a better playmaker and will hit 4.5 assists by his 3rd year.

Everyone in this thread guessed almost the exact same stat line, and we were all very close to his actual stat line. He's going to end up like 17/5/2 on 44/33/75 with a steal and half a block.

Close with the bold, off on the defense and wins but expected people like Pek, Rubio, Martin, Brewer, Young, Bennett etc. to actually contribute in meaningful ways this season.

Next year:

Kid's the next face of the league, people say Davis, but who wants to stare at that everyday?

Davis will be like Garnett, but this lil Nikka, he Kobesque, and NO he don't want no Bran Sauce on his hot dog!

I gotta say for a homer fan, I was pretty damn close on a lot of these. The total wins and defense stats were based on Pek, Rubio, Young, Martin, Brewer etc actually suiting up and playing more than a few games during the year, but I pretty much nailed the core stats.

Why are you laughing? Let's not act like you didn't hype the kid just because he's Canadian. I'm sure you did the same for my boy RJ Barrett, I hope you right about him bruh

See? You are dumber than I really thought. For someone who's been creeping on me for years. You should know that I am a Duke fan and I was rooting for Jabari Parker. I did not believe in Wiggins skinny ass.

And I always said RJ > Wiggins.

Please bro!

You can probably find worse predictions on Reddit. Here is an article hyping him as the next great star when he committed to KU:

There are typically two types of NBA prospects — guys with raw athletic ability but limited skill, and guys with lots of skill but limited talent. Like Durant and James before him, Wiggins has shown that he has both, and the basketball world is enamored. https://www.businessinsider.com/andrew-wiggins-next-lebron-2013-5

One or two posters her on ISH were saying he had Pippen potential on the defensive end when he was drafted. And the Love trade was controversial at the time. Lebron would have had a young Pippen
