View Full Version : Why Isn't There a Women's Lib Movement in Moslem Countries?

I mean, why does half the moslem population agree to subjucation, humiliation, rape, silencing by death, etc. etc., without putting up a fight? Why do they allow their men to lust after 72 virgins and get away with it? Do they really believe their lives are worth 1/2 of moslem mens' lives? Year after year after year they keep silent about this unjust treatment, it's just so sad how they go silently into that good night.

I've heard of women campaigning against stuff like that in "moslem" countries. Dont know if anyone ever listens but I guess things are slowly becoming more modern over there with social media, young people and their movements, etc.

Oh wow I just read what you wrote. Dear god :facepalm
Firstly, the 72 virgin thing is a terrorist things which is illegal. But terrorists dont suicide bomb for virgins, they do it because they are convinced its the right thing to do. The virgins are just a plus, I guess. Either way, terrorism is illegal so nobody is "putting up" with anything of the sort.
Secondly, I agree that places in the middle east and Africa have very poor interpretations womens rights and that definitely needs to be improved. But like I said before with social media, a new generation of people who are programmed to be a lot more modern, as well as more influence from the west, things seem to be slowly improving in that regard.
Maybe thats one of the reasons why terrorism is one the rise. There seems to be a growing divide between the more moderate muslims and the fundamentalist extremists. It would be kind of surreal if the slowly moving modernization of the Middle East is actually contributing to the response by terrorist organisations who have seemed to step up in recent times.

There's no women's rights in Islam. No man would stand up for them, not even their husbands or fathers. They are born into subjugation, that's just the way it is.

Or, there's no need for women's rights in Islam, they're doing better than US:

Most of them like living lives as subservient because that's what they're taught they're supposed to like from a young age, from their families, friends and Imams. It is the path of least resistance. They don't have to try at anything, because they know they can get married any time and live a cushy life where they dont have to do anything but clean.
The smart ambitious Muslim women do absolutely everything they can to get out of Muslim countries as soon as possible and go to Europe or America to settle down and get their shit down.

It's not a Muslim country problem, it's a Saudi Arabia + wahabi problem. Islam has always allowed women plenty of rights, women were allowed to own lands since forever. The wahabis don't allow them to drive or even be outside without a chaperone. I don't consider that Islam.
But I know you're a boring troll, likely an alt of an ignorant fella like 9er so I don't know why I dignify your thread with a response :lol

In Egypt, women aren't even allowed to withdraw money from their own bank accounts unless a man is present to chaperone.

"Women are unhappier now then they were 30 years ago.
Sad times-feminism has lead to women becoming UNHAPPIER ever since feminism began 30 years ago"

(CNN) -- In a new publication, ISIS justifies its kidnapping of women as sex slaves citing Islamic theology, an interpretation that is rejected by the Muslim world at large as a perversion of Islam.
"One should remember that enslaving the families of the kuffar -- the infidels -- and taking their women as concubines is a firmly established aspect of the Shariah, or Islamic law," the group says in an online magazine published Sunday.
The title of the article sums up the ISIS point of view: "The revival (of) slavery before the Hour," referring to Judgment Day.
The fourth edition of the group's English-language digital magazine called "Dabiq" said that female members of the Yazidi sect, an ethnically Kurdish minority living mostly in Iraq, may legitimately be captured and forcibly made concubines or sexual slaves.

The rationalization for a return to slavery -- repudiated around the world -- coincided with the release of a Human Rights Watch report on crimes committed by ISIS against the Yazidis in Iraq based on interviews with 76 displaced people in Dohuk.
"The Islamic State's litany of horrific crimes against the Yazidis in Iraq only keeps growing," said Fred Abrahams, special adviser at Human Rights Watch. "We heard shocking stories of forced religious conversions, forced marriage, and even sexual assault and slavery -- and some of the victims were children."
A 17-year-old kidnapped girl named Adlee recounts how a large bearded man forced her into a home in Falluja, where she was beaten and endured violent sexual advances before escaping two days later, the Human Rights Watch report reads.

ISIS terrorists have publicly executed a human rights lawyer in the Iraqi city of Mosul after she criticised the group on Facebook for destroying religious monuments.
Samira Salih al-Nuaimi was seized from her home on September 17 shortly after she allegedly posted messages on Facebook that were critical of the militants' destruction of religious sites in the city.
According to the United Nations Assistance Mission in Iraq, al-Nuaimi was tried in a Sharia law court for apostasy, before being tortured for five days and eventually bei

Adolf was widely reviled internationally (and to be fair had his share of fans). His brand of racism is more blatant than most people were comfortable with. People feared him too.

Nominations dont mean shit I don't think. People can nominate themselves. Putin was nominated by his buddies in the Kremlin government.

Looks like they have a legitimate reason for enslaving women- they're simply practicing their religious freedom and following the letter of the law from the LORD.
We should respect their belief system, no matter how backwards it is, lest we appear to be religion-hating heathens.
