With porn being free nowadays and so ubiquitous, how do porn stars still make money? I cant imagine very many companies want to advertise on porn vids, and no one pays to watch them anymore.

The economics of that just dont make sense to me. How is the guy paying them $3000 recouping that money. Nobody pays for porn anymore.

The porn industry is one of the most lucrative one. Most website have some form of google ads or whatever else and they live off that. Everytime you go into one of their websites, specially if you are using Windows they are installing adware unbeknownst to you. Aside from that I don't know.

Same here. I only go there when I need to find out a chicks name. I hate seeing those ads on the side with a fine chick doing work and not know who she is. I would spend like an hr trying to find her or that scene.

Google makes money off ad revenue. Its actually an extremely obvious business model

Porn is still considered seedy. I dont see may companies wanting to advertise with them. Maybe I am wrong about that, but I cant imagine wanting to advertise on a porn video

Running a porn-site is actually an interesting investment. A friend of mine tried to run a tube site, but he couldn't keep up with it since he was doing it on his own. But he was returning a hell of a profit that's for sure.

Most of those websites are owned by those porn sites you don't visit so they can put their old vids there. It might enticed some people to watch HD porn or they could just live of the ad revenue, which is a lot considering millions of people visit the porn sites everyday...

I bet that the actresses in porn don't make much money because they don't have any business savvy or agents working with them. They're getting ripped off, majority of them came off the street from bad backgrounds and because there are so many who are willing to work for cheap it makes it really hard for others to demand top dollar.

Even in the glory days Jenna Jameson wasn't making much staring in movies, she got rich because she started her own company. I bet there are around 10-20 of today's more famous actresses that could do the same as Jenna if they wanted to, they just aren't business savvy enough to do it.
