So stacked, they were broken up and removed from the league for basketball reasons.

Those were just hanger ons riding the trio's coat tails. They still have the majority of the foundation of the team that went to 4 straight championship series. Every championship team is filled with replacable pieces around a core. Step your troll game up phaggut.

I will be 100% that they won't make it as far as the Bulls did without MJ. Now that was a stacked squad. Players and the goat coach.

That wasnt a stacked team last year lol. It was a 2 peat squad (should have been 3 peatif not for Lebron choke job) on it's last legs.

Werent they the oldest team in the leauge?

Battier retired, Beasley is overseas, and Ray will be back at some point. Who are the other 3?

Lewis, Oden and Douglas.

Except for having all of those players off the NBA the team had huge issues. They still had no bigs.

People don't fully appreciate what Lebron, Wade and Bosh accomplished.

Yeah, and they sucked last year. What's your point?

They only made the finals because they play in the cupcake Eastern Conference. Every single playoff team in the West would have probably beaten the Heat.

They lost every game to the Spurs by at least 15 points. It was embarrassing.

actually, every opponent of the Spurs (except for Mavs and OKC a little less) got embarrassed too. that Spurs team was fantastic.

i attribute the Heat being trashed by Spurs for 2 reasons. Battier got old and they had no one to replace his fantastic defense, and they lost Mike Miller, who was fantastic in knocking down the threes when needed. actually, if you watch the 13 finals again, you'd see these 2 (Battier and Miller) as the role players that really helped fend off the Spurs.

the Heat's trapping defense depended a lot on Lebron and Battier being able to guard anyone. with Battier gone, their defense suffered greatly. it was evident. and also one of the reasons why Lebron was so gassed as they arrived in the Finals.

This is what you really meant right pauk?

Well if bran didn't shit the bed in 2011 the heat team up would actually look respectable. 2/4 is pretty average considering they played in the pathetic east and only won 2 due to a heavily rigged series against OKC, and a lucky bounce against the spurs in 13:oldlol:

How are your cavs looking so far??

Half of those guys are old/retired. The other half aren't capable of playing in meaningful NBA roles. Its not like all of them were regular starters

winning 4-1 is not "rigged", that's called being outplayed!

amd lucky bounce :facepalm what about the dominating 4th qtr Lebron put on to give them that "lucky bounce"? what about the Danny Green 3 in which Bosh's defense shut him down so no heroic on the Spurs end? what about the overtime where the Heat outlasted the Spurs? What about game 7 when the Spurs couldn't own up to a display rarely seen in game 7s by Lebron? so much "luck"...pathetic Coin

This gives me a newfound appreciation for what Lebron did last season. Taking a team to the Finals with half the roster filled with old and washed up players. :applause: Even winning a game against the superteam Spurs! No other player could have accomplished that with the roster Lebron was given last year.

yes, team also had borderline d-leaguers like Haslem and James Jones on that roster.

Norris Cole and Birdman is what is left really.

So the heat this year wont make the second round? Barring injury they will most definitely make it.

Not sure what you are saying yes to.

Every team has decling players or bad players. Spurs had Matt Bonner, Baynes, Ayres on their roster. So what?

If LeBron doesn't get cramps, they win Game 2 and go up 2-0 GOING BACK HOME... Who's to say they don't finish off the Game 3 comeback? Game 4 was a blowout all through. Who's to say they don't hold on to their HUGE game 5 start-out lead?

Could have been over by then with the momentum after game 2. Could also have lost in 6. Or it goes longer than both 5 or 6 games, and ends in 7.

Point is, the Mavericks in their Game 7, Blazers AND Thunder ALL got stomped by the Spurs in their losses as well... It's one of the greatest Teams of all-time, and one of the most dominant +/- Playoff Teams ever (Best since the 2001 Lakers).

"Heat would have lost to every other West Playoff Team"

Is this the newest Myth?

Miami Heat 2014 Regular Season Records vs West Playoff Teams:

1-1 vs Spurs
1-1 vs Thunder
2-0 vs Clippers
1-1 vs Rockets
2-0 vs Blazers
1-1 vs Warriors
1-1 vs Grizzlies
2-0 vs Mavericks

No Loosing Record. 3 Wins & 5 Ties.

PLUS being the Playoff experienced Team, BATTLE TESTED BACK-TO-BACK Champions who've BEEN THEIR AND DONE IT... How do you NOT figure them beating any Team besides the Spurs?

definitely agree that game 1 could/should have been Miami's had it not been for the cramp situation...game 2 was a heroic effort all around...however, I don't see the Heat winning anymore than that. Hard to beat such a dominant team in the Spurs when you're basically playing 2 vs 5, those two being Lebron and Birdman.

Some serious reaching going on here bro.. your team(ahem, ex team) lost by the most points in finals history.

Regular season records never seemed to matter when talking bulls or indy or the knicks.. They were downright dismissed and laughed at. now they suddenly matter when talking west teams lmao

Oh because the Heat always turned it up in the Playoffs?

And don't even act like the series would be the same when a Team heads home up 2-0....
