The fastest average speed gets the win. Avg speed will be total distance in miles travelled by foot/vehicle/bus/subway/train/boat/plane combined divided by the amount of travel time (converted to mi/hr). Work from homes don't count duhhhh. This will be on the honour system so please respond accordingly (Atheists do the best you can)

And...GO!

Well let me see how mine compares...

17.5 miles by car + bus + foot or car + foot / 30 minutes = 35mph

vs

11 miles by train / 1hr = 11mph

So yeah you got 2nd place so far sorry :(

2.3 miles.

~5 minutes by car.
~25 mins by bike.

I should've included bicycle in there or at least "etc."

So yours by car = 27.6mph, by bike = 5.5mph

A little info missing from this post...time of travel

I think it actually takes more time to get from the hospital parking lot to my station/department than from my house to the hospital parking lot. :lol
lol Walking from my car to duty station takes a good amount of time and energy, but I decided to include that to be a little more fair, e.g. car only commute vs foot only.

And...GO!That's really not how you would measure fastest commute.

Let's say you worked on the moon and you travelled 240,000 miles. Sure you're travelling over 3, 000 miles and hour, but it still takes you three days to commute to work.

Your commute is still a half hour.

Somewhat related...you guys seeing how gas prices are dropping?

Needed about 6 gallon to fill up my tank, spend only $21 to do so.
Someone posted yesterday how he spotted a pump that was at $0.88 per gallon and only those who jumped and got there fast enough were able to extract some at that price before they caught it :oldlol:

If was funny seeing pictures of about 20 cars that got to the station too late hehe

My couch is downstairs and it usually takes me ~13 seconds to get to it.
Info missing...distance travelled. Doesn't matter anyways. Homeworkers are excluded

Oh and KYJELLY Rule #1: I set the rules down in the OP; Rule #2: See Rule #1 GTFO

Japan would not be considered a workplace destination in this case. How much time going through airport security, walking to rental car agency, time it takes to end moslem hijacking, driving from rental spot to work location, finding a parking spot, walking from car to actual work place, etc.

Just a glance, but it appears I'm actually in the lead at 35mph so far niiiiiice

i was just being silly

the point that i didn't realize kevin already made earlier is that your formula doesn't make any sense. it doesn't matter how much time it takes you to reach your destination. all you're asking is who takes the fastest mode of transport. if you spend at least an hour on a freeway, you win. if you have a propensity to speed, even better.

according to this, walking 15 meters down the road means i lose. even if i sprint.

There can only be one winner, sorry. Second place would only make you the best of the losers.
