This is old news, in fact he is the 3rd best player in the league. CP3 is overrated.

Well to be fair not everyone has him in the top 5. I think Blake and Curry are better than him...

And maybe Davis, but I'll hold off on that.

Let's wait until he does this in a playoff game before we give him top 5 status.

I don't have in my top 5. But he's still a great player and he has the potential to be a top 5 player this year.

Amazing.

Where is Cone?

He hates Kevin Love so bad every time Love's name shows up he goes into some kinda panting lather.

So 26/11/4 is not top 5. All the people in your top 5 have at least an all star playing next to them, some have another superstar, Love had who? And people discredit his accomplishments aka empty stats. Just remember your top 5 player is playing playoffs ball, because of an all star cast. Now put Love in the same situation as Griffin..Oh wait it's happening. B2b 25 pts for KLove sans Bron and Kyrie. Waiters > The entire supporting cast of the wolves. Except maybe Pekovic.

And that would be wrong. Blake is the best player on the Clippers going forward and a top 3 player.

Yep.

LeBron
Durant
Griffin
Westbrook/Paul
Paul/Westbrook

Un biased opinion: he's top 10. Has to be

My biased UCLA fan opinion: top 5. Probably 3rd. I love that honkey

LeBron
Durant
Griffin
Westbrook/Paul
Paul/Westbrook

Blake is, no doubt, incredible.
I've had that debate for 3 seasons now, Griffin or Love?

I love how Griffin can ratchet up his game in a flash and he has a mode he gets in, where he totally takes over a game. My problem with BG is he makes the smashing great play but then he goes back to idle. He doesn't stay there and a lot of times he should.

Love is more like a zen quality. Never gets up, never gets down. He's not an emotional player and that makes him kinda standoffish in a way. I think a lot of other players don't get it about that silent intensity - fans definitely don't.

edit ~ when you throw LaMarcus into that mix you have the 3 outstanding "new" guys at the PF (by that I am meaning old guys are Timmy D, KG, Dirk and so forth). The Old Guard at the Four is being replaced, and those are the guys.

After Lebron/Durant/CP3, the next few players are about equal so sure Kevin Love can be top 5 along with Westbrook, Griffin, Curry, Davis, etc

I'm gonna take BG over KLove as well as CP3, and maybe AD, but Love has a chance to prove himself this year, especially when we see him in the playoffs. He has a chance to prove himself as a top 5 player in the league, but it's still yet to be seen, IMO

Only LeBron could lead that Wolves team to the playoffs in the east or in the west last year. The rest just like Love could bring them in the playoffs only in the east.

After Lebron and Durant you can throw any combination of Westbrook, CP3, Blake, LMA, Curry, Davis, Carmelo, D12, Harden, Paul George and Love (hope I didn't forget someone) to complete your top 5.
It's just a matter of opinion, those players are in similar levels.

Lebron hates playing with top 5 talent.

His body can't handle it.

Hopefully Love can "step back".

Blake can carry the Clips without CP3 much better than the reverse.

Why is Melo better than KLove

Melo 27/8/3 miss playoffs in East
Love 26/12.5/4.5 miss playoffs in West

Advantage: Love

True, but I wouldn't throw George or D12 in that mix, they are on the next tier after.

Melo has been to the playoffs every year of his career except one, Love has never been to the playoffs.

Not like Love would have missed playoffs on ANY of Melo's playoff teams :confusedshrug:

Anyway I'll gladly take 50% increased rebounding and 50% increased assists and sacrifice 1ppg.

Advantage: LOve

IDK about that, Melo has dragged along some pretty rancid teams to the playoffs in the brutal Western Conference.

Melo is a far superior defender than Love, so that makes up for the arbitrary difference in stats.

But yeah, borderline top 5 right now. Unique as hell.

Statistically he has been right up there, but the team outcome/impact due to those stuff he does is not something to brag about & not better than a couple of players, using the eye test its more like:

1. Lebron
2. Durant
3. CP3
4. Davis
5. Curry
6. Carmelo
7. Westbrook
8. Griffin
9-12. Harden/Love/Aldridge/Cousins

Rose? Kobe? Wade? Bosh? We shall see.

I usually agree with most of your posts but not on this one. Team impact? Love is third on win shares behind LeBron and KD.
