Christianity was introduced to them mostly through slave traders and owners in the 1600s on as a way of trying to keep them motivated enough to keep moving on in a life of hardship and cruelty...
Go read up on this shit, kids. Christianity was taught exuberantly to slaves by the white man and now Africa is the most religious place on earth because various church groups keep going there and building churches as opposed to schools.

It's funny too because according to the bible Jesus was 100% firmly against slavery.:hammerhead:
Africans are also still in to voodoo and witch doctors, even the hardcore Christian ones.

Don't tell people their opinion is wrong. That's racist.

I don't get it. Is this another thread to bash Christianity. Be more specific, OP.

There are no lies or incorrect answers, just differing opinions that we have to consider and respect.

Christianity was introduced to Africans and their descendants by White Europeans involved in the slave trade? Someone call CNN and tell them about this breaking news!

Africa is mad Christian. A lot of missionaries dangle amenities in front of uneducated and deficient children to convert them. That's really common of white people goin in to areas that are lacking are being material things to communities and then hammer Christ into the minds

I'll answer you both.
My point was based around many black people I have encountered who will be super vocal about white privilege, the white man holding the black man down, etc, and thats FINE. But many of these same people also support guess what religion.... you guessed it. The one taught to their ancestors by slave owners who were looking for a way to manipulate them and keep them working hard in the fields....
It makes no sense to me.
Unfortunately much of this is true (same goes with their name changes), its even estimated that between 30-40% of the slaves were muslims..... with all the mass systematic slave breeding allover that took place you could even say most african-americans today have more or less some muslim ancestry in them.
