Sounds like a smart move. Amare shouldn't be playing more than 20-22 minutes per game at this point in his career and Barnagni's most effective spot is probably a 6th man scorer off the bench. That defense just isn't capable of having a negative at the 4 spot in their starting line-up. This way they have more activity to cover for perimeter mistakes and they will be better at defending the pick and roll.

calderon is better, jason smith is better, Hardaway Jr. provided he improves is better, Shump if he worked on his game enough (which so far looks like he has) is better.

Amare's looking terrible out there, and I wouldn't be surprised if Bologna sits out the season with a ruptured brain. I'm hoping Acy and Smith (Jason) see plenty minutes.

i think for better balance, knicks should start those two along with melo calderon and shump

I like Acy too but I think Jason Smith is better and should start.

As a Raptors fan, I am extremely familiar with Acy. Dude is a poor man's Kenneth Faried, probably more comparable to Reggie Evans with a little more bounce. Dude will die trying to save a ball even if we were down 20 with 2 mins left in the 4th.

I hope he does start. Met him a couple years back, dude is extremely humble and genuinely grateful for every minute he plays. Also, despite his lack of size, he will protect the rim like his own newborn child. Not a fan of the Knicks but definitely a fan of this.
I knew he would get playing time on the Knicks, didn't expect him to start till Amare/Barge got injured.

Also which ever mod deleted my Quincy Acy dunk thread is a loser smh.
