This is the season that's going to be tough for Kobe unless someone else magically steps up.

In years past, he threw up bad shots a lot of the time and obviously still does. The difference is that you don't even have Gasol anymore to be an offensive threat to make teams not focus on Kobe. Now after seeing the Jazz do it, the Warriors do it, teams are really defending Kobe tightly and he's taking those shots that just don't fall. He's gooing to need to find a reliable player to trust to make a threat or else this is just going to keep happening.

Plus he's being defended tightly. Hayward and Thompson are good defenders. The problem that Kobe has is that he's taking those impossible shots, sometimes with three men right there ready to stop him. When you have no other real star to defend, who else is going to command attention? Unless Kobe starts to distribute more and guys hit shots, it's going to be an easy formula to exploit all season.

1. A very bad sign with all the injuries to Swaggy and Nash, now Lin and possibly Randle who just played 11 mins tonight.
2. Byron said he will prioritize defense and yet, they looked horrible in that aspect, allowing 119 pts to a team projected to NOT qualify to the playoffs.
Allowing 38 FTs, 30 assists and just 14 turnover which lacked veteran players.
3. You sign a player like X Henry who turns out to have a nagging back injury, yikes.
4. Ronnie Price had 5 turnovers and 2 assists in 27 mins.
5. Boozer had only 3 rebs in 27 mins.
6. Westley Johnson continues to be very passive taking only 5 shots in team leading 31 minutes.

Highest-scoring game since tearing his achilles. Really a decent showing by him considering how he started out and how his jumper was ON in the 2nd half. That no-look pass :bowdown:

He looks like he could put up 26-28 ppg on 43-46% shooting if he takes around 21-23 shots per game, which is encouraging, because he's easily looked the best out of everyone on this team and we're going to rely on him basically every game (not exactly rely, but he will be the only guy creating his shot consistently and making it, too).
