Bill Simmons predicted this on the grantland season preview for the Celtics....Which is odd because it seems like too little for Rondo.

The "right to swap picks" isn't worth much. NY will probably be better than the Celtics for a few years even if this trade doesn't happen but after Rondo goes the team is locked into years of lottery while Melo will keep NY in playoff contention even if Rondo can't work in the triangle.
