bird
magic
lebron

anyone else?

really, its no coincidence these players made their teams ELITE from the jump. bird, magic , and lebron immediately after being drafted put their franchises on the map. the greatest do-it-all players ever, imo.

Larry Bird - Passing Highlights (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EhnRtgBGMl4)
Magic Johnson - Passing Highlights (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4Dm0lZTqCc)
LeBron James - Passing Highlights (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KT-zhe-5ORA)

The Cavs were pretty good before LeBron got there.

They have a history of good players. And there best time to do some serious damage they just unluckily ran into the GOAT.

eh, prior to lebron being drafted, they were awful for an extended period there.

The last time they made the playoffs before lebron got drafted was 98. No they were not "pretty good"

I meant as a "franchise on a map" like you wrote OP.

I realized after I clicked post reply that I should have been more clear. Obviously not right before. They were in the lotto for a while. They just made some bad picks,

Mihm, Diop, Wagner. Only Andre Miler in 99 turned out good while on the Cavs.

That LeBron mix is one of the best I've seen. Simple editing, music, but everything just seems to work. Great stuff.

fatal9 and merkin videos are always nice if you're a fan of the 80s and 90s game.

Of those 3, only Magic and Bird made the playoffs the first year they joined their team.

Truly amazing impact.

for a 6 year stretch , there would be more than a handful.

im talking about CAREERS.

not sure there are more. i think magic , bird and lebron being on the list REALLY shows how awesome and consistent these guys were as playmakers. of course they just happen to be the all around BEST players.

I understand what you meant and I agree with you. The Cavs had some potentially great teams with Mark Price, Brad Daugherty, John Williams, and Larry Nance they had a young Ron Harper at one point also. Like you said, they just kept running into MJ. I used to use them all the time on the old ball games because they always had a good all around team, they were fun to use. Old NBA Live games, Tecmo NBA Basketball, NBA Showtime, etc.....

Magic and Bird are certainly two of the greatest ever. Those 2 are definitely at the top with at least 6 assists a game.
