Atheism is the stance that you don't believe in God because there is no evidence for it.

There is no evidence for a higher power so why is the agnostic position more of a logical approach than an atheist? Sure there could be a God but if you go by what there could be you can make up anything that could be that is invisible/undetectable. Im not agnostic toward the idea of there being fairies for example. There is no evidence for such a thing and there is also no way to disprove them. But are you willing to say its logical for me to be agnostic toward the idea of fairies existing?

This is where your argument is fundamentally flawed. Atheism is not a way of life like Islam/Christianity. Atheists share nothing in common other than the fact that we don't believe in God. The term simply means that. It isn't our philosophy, it isn't our brotherhood. We don't have terms for people who don't believe in the Tooth fairy.
