You're saying it's more impressive to hit a buzzer beater being up 3-2 than it is being tied 2-2? :biggums:

It was a game winner, and it beat the buzzer..jackass.

Jordan's shot over Ehlo was better because it was more difficult and it was in an elimination game.

Dunno about the greatest, but I damn near broke a rib from laughing so hard.

Definitely up there as far as moments that I've actually witnessed live though.

Shooting over 6'10" sexy boy Chandler > shooting over 6'5" bald boy Manu

And Damez was fading to the left, making it even more difficult.

You're arguing that Lillard's shot was harder to pull off? Really? :coleman:

"2 seconds 1 second West throws it up (cue buzzer) (cue swish) ...HE MAKES IT!"

Yep. Buzzer beater. OP never stated whether or not it had to be a game winner, he just stated buzzer beater. West's 60 foot shot is a buzzer beater.

I didn't hear a buzzer.

Not trying to be difficult but that literally wasn't a buzzer beater.

This is. They would've LOST the series if he misses this. The Bulls dynasty might not have happened if he misses this. Way more pressure.

If Lillard misses that shot they still have game 7 to fall back on. This was a game 7, do or die type situation.

No just more difficult in contrast to how you first described it.

But to break it down

Lillard = 0.9 seconds, Fading to the left, shooting over a MUCH bigger man, in a series winning game
Fisher = 0.4 seconds, Fading away, shooting over a guy a couple inches taller, in a series leading game.

I still pick Lillards doe no bias

Good shit. Was gonna make a thread about this halfway through the season when Rocket fans were finally starting to forget. Let them heal up, then make it gape again, you know?

Anyway, to answer OP, it's gotta be Jordan's.

The Bulls entire season literally came to down to that one shot. He misses and the season is over.

c'mon really is this serious...???

read that title and smack yourself

basically admitting you just started watching bball

lillard is a dog and that buzzer beater was amazing to watch live but c'mon
the greatest buzzer beater ever is gonna come from a borderline all star early in the playoffs with 2 teams who aren't sniffing a title....

because if you are determining the GREATEST buzzer beater ever, you need to take context into account

the greatest buzzer beater has to be one that will be remember among many generations, lillards was great but trust me they wont be discussing it on espn in 2027

But, context in this scenario would include the series situation, how difficult the shot was, the defense on the shot, how much time is left, etc. Nobody's gonna give a **** about how any of these teams are title favorites or how shitty/great the player was. F*ck outta here.

MJ's "The Shot" is the greatest buzzer beater with context involved. Lillard's is probably the 2nd.

I know it wasn't really a story book ending and i hate seeing how we threw out our chances right in the trash. But hey, we had a good season, we made to the post-season i guess it didn't turn out like we thought it would.
Good Job Houston, and i hope we can come back strong next season!

Horry, Jordan, Stockton, West, and Fishers shots will be remembered forever.

People forgot this happened already.

Being significant is an aspect of greatness.

this...although i think West ended up losing that game, no? (although they would've won if it counted as a 3)

Even Ray Allen's shot (non buzzer-beater) will be remembered as being greater than Lillard's

You can only compare this shot to other playoff series winners at the buzzer. There are only a few. I think it's amazing given the circumstances and how Parson's just got that lucky shot which delated everyone in the building.

Stocktons was bigger though because it was to go to the Finals.

I practically screamed as much as a man of my size and age could, at the Lillard shot.

If the Rockets won that game it was over for the Blazers IMO.
