Hasheem Thabeet waived earlier today. Thunder fans, what happened? I thought he was still getting garbage time minutes with you guys last season?
It's sad that a guy like Thabeet hasn't been able to work on bulking up a bit and taking advantage of his 7'3 height.

He never loved the game. He only played because he was tall and wanted to make money. He's made his money, he's a millionaire and is set for life. Now he'll go back and pursue his actual dream of becoming a doctor, he only needs a couple more years to complete his pre-med. He's a great dude, and IMO he would be wasting his life playing some game when he could be out there actually helping people and making a difference. That's one thing that IMO people don't understand. Not everyone in the NBA loves playing basketball...it's just something that AA parents try and get their son to do in order to make some serious dough later in life.

that's not what AA parents do u unaware dumbass. That's the kids themselves that want to play in the NBA not the parents pushing them to play.

Did not know that at all. He's definitely made his millions in the league with that first rookie contract. If only I were 7'3 :oldlol:

He's more interested in being a rocket scientist. Good luck to him. Never had the heart to be an NBA player.

Sad, he seems like a really nice and funny guy. Well, he can always take his talents to China.

To think that Scott Brooks ever gave this dumbass minutes last season when we had Adams...
Thabeet sucks and there were literal worries from thunder fans that he'd injure our own players by being put on the floor. He moves around so awkwardly with no balance or anything like that. He would jump up for a block with it being way mistimed and he'd only end up landing on a thunder player.
he's a big ass dude with a huge wingspan and zero feel for the game. nothing more.

He does come across as nice and funny, but also a bit dumb as well. I'd rather have a nice and funny guy who knows when it's best to be the goofball and lighten the mood as opposed to a guy who just simply IS the goofball all the time.
And his only talents are being tall and having long arms. It's got him this far, so maybe it can get him somewhere in China.

Mind citing where you heard this? I can't find anything to back that up.
