You are building a team from scratch. You have Andrew Wiggins on a rookie deal and Paul George on his current one with the remaining roster spots open. You have not yet hired your head coach.
For your next choice you have:
Ricky Rubio on a 4 year deal for 8M/year OR
DeAndre Jordan on a 4 year deal for 11M/year.
Who do you pick?

I forgot Paul George has a broken leg. That makes it fair.

I love Rubio, but have to go with Deandre here.
It's much more important to get a strong post presence given you already have adequate perimeter players than to bring Bricky Rubio in to ruin spacing for Wiggins and George.

Huh?
You get George either way.

I'll take Deandre as well. Suring up the front court seems like a higher priority than finding an adequate point guard in this scenario (based on the fact I would already have Wigs and George)
I'm a massive Rubio homer but you'd probably be better off taking Deandre in these circumstances. A lot easier to find a decent point guard than it is a centre, and worst case scenario you've got George who's had to handle primary ballhandling duties before.

on a not fantasy basis,
Paul George and Ricky Rubio

Wiggins
George
Deandre
That defense would be sick
id take Deandre anyday over Rubio.

the leaps and bounds jordan made last year were undeniable. he is the new tyson chandler with better athleticism and hustle... not quite as savvy. but he'll be a top ten center for the next five years. and with wiggins and george in front of him, that makes for a ridiculous defensive future.
i still have hope rubio overcomes his woes and becomes the stud we all want him to be. and a trio of rubio/wiggins/george defending the perimeter would be scary. but jordan is a sure thing at a weak position; rubio is a toss-up at a stacked position.

Eh, did you see Jordan in the playoffs?
I know for certain that he was garbage in the OKC series. He gave up so many wide open dunks to Durant, Westbrook, Ibaka, and Adams, and even when he wasn't doing that he'd be doing other bad things like getting posterized by Thabo Sefolosha.
