Guy looks way better than I thought he would at this stage. Wasn't sure if his handle would translate but guy is leading the break like few power forwards ever...and his passing has REALLY surprised me. I think this guy was a steal at 7 and could be special.

His ball handling, quickness in the half court, and strength attacking the rim have been impressive. The full court ball handling shows a lot of confidence that you don't see too often in 19 y/o front court players. Happy with the pick, let's just hope Scott gives him enough minutes to develop

He's really quick for his strength/length. Nice handle. Average hops.

One thing I noticed is that his jumper is really pretty imo

i still have my doubts because his lack of length. For him to succeed he needs to develop a SF like skillset at the PF position.

I told people he looked like baby Lebron , then they bit my head off because they equate that to being the next Lebron. Idiots.

Alot of Variety in his game, plays solid D. If that mid range shot keeps falling , this guy could be like a stud, because he has a quick first step, ply him too close he's going to the basket.

And best of all at 19 he has a more developed post game than Dwight.

Don't underestimate him dude. Trust me , he has air time like no ones business, he just doesn't go up over guys , unless he has a lane to the basket.

So he's no Blake, if anything he kinda reminds me of C Webb.

He's the same exact height as Kevin Love. :biggums:

He will be fine offensively, but his defense was horrible in college...really bad.

If he can fix that he'll be fine in the NBA.

Byron Scott is a ****ing idiot if he doesn't start Randle over Boozer.

His game reminds me of Zach Randolph's. Randle is just a more athletic, less stronger version of him.

He's going to be a good one - a perennial all-star at least. His quickness, agility, handles, and outside shot are way better than advertised. Absolute steal.

Julius Randle reminds me more of a athletic Zach Randolph. I do believe his highest possible ceiling is Charles Barkley, I love this kids potential.

His ability to pass surprised me. Most rookie bigs don't have that kind of vision, and the handle was nice too. Some mix of Zbo and Lamar Odom is what I'm feeling. Or what Royce White was supposed to be.

Julius Randle reminds me of a more athletic, more skilled, and frankly...better all around mate than Charles Barkley. That's right...not the next, but the rich mans Barkley in the flesh....

He could be good. I think the Lamar Odom/Z Bo hybrid is the better comparative.
He still needs to work a lot on his jumper though (It didn't look good until the Blazer game.) but I think he could be a really good player

Give him 1-2 years maybe 3, all star leading the lakers with improved jump shot and improved ball handling skills and better mental preparation for the game because of what he learned from kobe  :applause:

Great, he'll get in the all-defensive team by his sophomore season.

Have you seen Sullinger play? He's slow as hell compared to Randle. No way would you ever see Jared run the break like Randle or attack the rim like Randle, but he does have certain elements that Randle does. He gets the ball in the high post and makes plays for his teammates, hits the long-range J. But he's not as athletic as Julius and IMO is a worse finisher at the rim (from what I've seen).

He will start at some point in time during the season. It's not that hard to be better than Boozer or Hill/Davis. Once we give Randle the nod and he has a stretch of great games, he'll be the man. Kobe-Lin-Randle = the new big 3

I really see a lamar odom/ ZBO hybrid. The guy's speed, quickness, handle, and even passing ability are pretty darn good.

I feel he has an ability to play like a bruiser ala ZBO and he can also play that point forwardish role ala LO.

one thing is for sure, i like the damn kid.

Next season he's gonna be an elite player. This season it's going to take him too long to figure it all out. By the time he does, he'll likely hit the rookwall.

Taller than CP3

I got a boner the other day watching him play and I'm not even gay. He's just that good.

Elite in his 2nd year?

I think it'll take 3-5 years before he's elite. He's a baby. I say he'll be a 25/13 player in his prime with elite d.

Define elite? Like, you think top 10 at his position? Or best in his rookie class?

very anthony mason-esque, in my opinion. hes definitely shown leaps of improvement the past 2 preseason games. however, once the season starts, im pretty sure we'll see a shit load of growing pains. but i have confidence in the kid. he seems like hes ready and willing to learn.

Nah, seriously, the kid has footwork, up and unders , a bunch of shit I'm sure Dwight wish he had. Including ball handling.

2nd tier PF at his best. But I think he will be very average for his total career.
