Now that he is finally on a good team he's proving to everyone that he can distribute, score with the best of them, hit the 3, and play defense.
He's been cooking so far in preseason.
Can he finally make the West all stars?

It's pretty insane to think that a dude who averaged 19+/5/4 for a career has never made an all-star team. Dude is underrated.

yes and ithink this season he will be the Mavs best player clearly and take them to a top 3 seed.
It's amazing how being on an actual good team completely changes someone.
West guard spot is stacked. Who's spot is he taking?

Nope, because these guys are pretty much locks unless one of them gets injured.
Curry
Harden
Lillard
Parker
Kobe (yes, he's making it. possibly gonna start again)

No it doesn't. People just happen to notice what he's doing since he's on a winning team.

Omg, I forgot about Westbrook too...:facepalm
No way in f*cking hell is Ellis gonna make it. Like, literally a 0% chance of this happening.
I'd bet on Parker and maybe Haren not making it.

Would Ellis even make it in the East ?
Would Ellis even make it in the East ?
Depends on how he played.
Wade and Kyrie are the only locks.

Kyrie has no business being a 'lock' based on basketball production. He was a nothing last season.

Kobe and Curry will get voted in.
Parker, Harden, and Lillard are ahead of Ellis otherwise.

Honestly Monta is better than all of them except Curry and Harden.

west is too stacked unfortunately. still a all-star caliber player though
Would Ellis even make it in the East ?
absolutely. last year he would've made it in the east

He definitely deserves to be an all-star but it's probably not going to happen considering how stacked the West is with guards. You got Kobe, Curry, Harden, CP3, Westbrook, Parker, Lillard, and a couple other guys like Dragic, and Thompson. It'll be a miracle if he makes it in. I just can't believe how he's never ever been an NBA All-Star though...

Ellis probably makes it over Joe Johnson in last year's East, I guess.

Kyrie is a lock. He was the all star mvp. Plus people like to see the flashy players play. And if kyrie is one thing its definitely flashy. Plus playing along side lebron is just going to draw even more attention to him.

has he done any damage in the playoffs at all? empty stats IMO

I remember when the Kings had the chance to sign him before Dallas and I was strongly against it, I feel like a complete idiot now this dude is a absolute beast I love watching him and would give up the near entire roster to have him.
He's a underrated defender as well when he wants to be I remember in his rookie year he hounded and destroyed a healthy D-Will with defense. If Dallas has a strong W/L there should be no reason he does not make it.

He was on the 8th seed Warriors that stomped the #1 Dallas Mavericks :confusedshrug:

Too many good guards in the West. Unless 3 or 4 guys get hurt he won't make it.
Kobe and CP or Curry will get voted in, then you have Harden, Lillard, Westbrook and Parker battling for the remaining spots and guys like Klay, Dragic, Bledsoe, Lawson and Conley on the outside.

Except that's not it... He's made a noticable improvement ever since he's come to Dallas and played alongside Dirk while coached by Carlisle.... And not among chucker Jennings.

He was terrible last season though.
Monta is flat out the better player. If Kyrie is making an all star team it's based on hype and ESPN and not on ability.

But where?
He was amazing last regular season... it led to 49 wins in one of the most loaded conferences ever, while looking alot weaker in comparison to other west teams.... In the playoffs he didn't even play that well, and they still went 7 with the Spurs... :biggums:
Like, your statement makes no sense... If anything thats the opposite if I'm looking at the postseason.
Which team should have went further? His Milwaukee Bucks? The Warriors that weren't close to making the playoffs anyway?
He's only been to 3 damn postseasons.... The team overachieved in 2 of them.... THE TEAM... Which you are talking about when you say "empty stats", you mean it doesnt translate to team success like the stats would believe you to... Well, twice his team overachieved and the other time they lost to the champions Miami Heat.
You don't have a damn point.

Garnetts stats on the Timberwolves were all empty too, right? Kobe mid 2000s? Scrub statpadder on a crap team, couldn't even get past the first round, what a loser. Wade at the end of the 2000s had no impact whatsoever, if he did at least something positive they would've made the playoffs.
You are an idiot.

Maybe Kobe the years Smush parker was the 2nd best players, but not for the rest of his career, and not Garnett. Both have the stats and the impact to back it up
