It's a huge indictment on the FO and a testament to Kobe's versatility but I think it's true.

Kid has looked great though. He's much more impressive when not relegated to a spot-up shooter :applause:

PG on a Kobe led team really means spot up shooter/whipping boy. Player's nowadays want to feel special, feel good about themselves. Kobe's all about making people feel down, feel bad. He's a product of a bygone era.

Except this time it's true. And it wasn't wrong about Nash, it's not like people knew about the injuries before the fact.

Derek fisher was their last good PG, Lin is a better scorer than fish but not better point:no:

Lol how is Lin not a better point guard? Fisher has a career average of 3 apg and has always averaged less than 5 apg. Overall, D-Fish was only good for his leadership skills and a nice guy to go to if you needed a bucket in the clutch.

He was perfect for the triangle but yeah not too great in the grand scheme of things.

derek fisher is a better player than jeremy lin

assuming by player we aren't talking about a 1v1 contest. derek fisher brings innumerable intangibles to the table, not least of all a savvy veteran leadership in his later years, that lin's superior scoring and passing abilities cannot match. at least not at this point in his career. fish is also at least as good of a spot up shooter and he was unquestionably a better defender when he was in his prime.

of course that's not exactly loading on praise for fisher. if we were talking about ty lawson or jrue holliday or kemba walker or even like jose calderon (not to mention a whole bunch of others), the answer would most likely be different.

jeremy lin is way better then steve nash's entire useless money sucking lakers career. the short burst of ramone sessions wasnt bad. but i think lin will be great. I just cant wait for swag and X to return. they could be swaggy X!!!

Huge indictment on the FO? Same FO that have been able to get Phil Jackson, Shaq, Kobe, Gasol, and Howard since NVE? :oldlol:

Since when has anyone emphasized the need to have a really good PG alongside an elite wing player? It usually doesn't happen. I can think of Dumars with Isiah, Drexler with Porter, Miller with Jackson, VC with Kidd, Pierce and Allen with Rondo. What really good PGs did Jordan, Pippen, Hill, T-Mac, Wade, Melo, and Lebron get to play with for more than a few years?

I love Fisher...one of my favorite players ever. Lin is a better player, but Fish was a better fit.

He has that ability to take over a game like NVE, at least he did during Linsanity. As long as he's healthy his ceiling is going to be highish

Konex's curse has Ronnie Price starting over him while he averages 10.4 points, 4.5 assists, and 2.3 turnovers on 43.1 FG%, even being DNPed once.
