Chuletas & Pernil

To this day I just found out from my Rican friend who's obsessed with chuletas that what I ate at my friends house wasn't chicken, it was actually pork.

The chuletas was really really good, never had pernil. I swore that was chicken. God dam I want some more. Need to find a local Hispanic spot for some.

They were fried, and sort of dry like chicken. I figured it was. It was a get together at one of my marine friends return home and they served me chuletas. I don't ask questions much so I just ate it lol. I was sort of aiming for it being pork, but the threads more for how good it taste than me thinking it was chicken lol

If you like chuletas you'll love carne frita...delicious and not as dry. Pair that with a good mofongo and :pimp:.

Or keep it simple with some rice, pinto beans, and tostones (fried plantains). If I were on death row, this would be in my top 3 final meals:
