For me, it's gotta be the movie plots where a retired bad ass with insane fighting and gun skills is forced out of retirement to fight a threat that only he can stop for some reason.
And I'm sick & tired of movies with useless love side stories. Y'know? Where the love angle doesn't progress the story whatsoever but it's add in there anyway for the shits & giggles.

Girl gets treated like shit and doesn't trust men. Great guy comes along and gives her the world but she finds a way to push him away. Girl comes to her senses and they have a big make up scene. Cue happily ever after.

Guy sees a girl he likes, then finds a way to get a hold of her, they fall in lover and later on have some kind of problem. They fix the problem, fall in love again and the movie ends.

Any superhero movie, especially Marvel.
Act 1
Introduce villian
Introduce hero
Keep it light and funny
Act 2
Villian powers up
Hero is down and out?
Act 3
Hero goes to fight the villian
Big fight with explosions.
.
World saved.
Post credits scene: Whatever
Comic relief through witty one liners to end every scene.
Nolan's Batmans >>>>>>>>>> any other super hero franchise

Movie starts off with a person or even multiple people, they do things, and then some other stuff, and then the movie ends.

There is no originality in the movies I have been watching, everyone starts of with foreplay, a little bit of fellatio and cunnilingus which leads to two or three different positions and finally the happy ending. It's all the same.

Superhero films with the inevitable climactic battle through the urban canyons of Manhattan, unimpressive CGI (still looks like pixar) , and camerawork from someone who obviously suffers from tourettes. Enough already.
The superheroes and villains could take the fight to the middle of the friggin Sun, the human leads with no powers will still inexplicably find themselves in the thick of the action every. Single. Time. :facepalm

Teens/young adults go to some sort of abandoned location (e.g. cabin, house, warehouse). Along the way, someone/something happens that warns them they're headed into danger. The group ignores it. They reach their destination, joke around, usually mock the loser of the group, who they decided to invite out anyway, and then the couples spread out for sex time. Each one slowly dies painful deaths until the lone loser is left to either survive or die.

Nolan's trilogy is the exception, not the norm. DC still put out more garbage than Marvel. Can't just focus on the good and forget...
Batman and Robin
Batman Forever
Steel
Catwoman
Superman Returns
Jonah Hex
Green Lantern
Man of Steel
Hell, DC's best comic book movies outside TDK trilogy are from their imprints not the main comics. Stuff like V for Vendetta, Road to Perdition, History of Violence, RED.

this. that part where they do the stuff and the things gets so repetitive
The sci fi movie that pretends to be some intellectual piece of work.
Total Recall, Matrix, Inception are 3 movies that have similar gimmicks in their stories. Protagonist is unsure of what is reality and the audience is left wondering the same thing too even after the movie ends.
I am sure Total recall was not entirely original but it seems Matrix and Inception were remakes of it recycling the same plots. This is sickening and tiring.

Man, if a few movies with some similarities over the course of multiple decades pisses you off, I'd hate to see your reaction to the average movie put out by Hollywood.

Sometimes the loser of the group gets it first while everyone else is involved in sex time. Usually when he doesn't want to hear the sex pounding and he heads outside with headphones on to take a piss. Then when the group realize he's gone, the alpha-jock will say something like..."He's probably just jerking off somewhere."

Reminds me of when Jameer gets banned.

Sports moves where there is a last second victory by the underdog. Ball is in the air, super slow mo, shot of the crowd and the people on the sideline, etc. Goes through net/caught for a touchdown at the horn.

Good thing is I don't watch movies anymore (especially Hollywood produced ones)...this motivated me to post on this thread.

Taken movies
Also, any movie that is not specifically a love story should not spend one second of the film explaining or giving air time to relationship issues. Every movie ever has some sort of romance in it and it's so unneccessary

Seconded. Sports movies suck balls. And its always the team of misfits that somehow beats the bullies/super-team. Just once I'd like to see the super-team crush them. Would be refreshing.
Also:
Comic book movies havent mearly been driven into the ground, they've been driven through the core of the Earth. Enough already.
The 30-40 year old frat boy thing is over. Sorry Owen Wilson, Will Ferrell, Ben Stiller, Seth Rogen, Vince Vaughn, etc. You guys are not funny.

When 'tough guy' actors decide to flip it and play a soft role, usually with kids: Arnold, Stallone, Vin Diesel, etc....
Isn't that cute

Little girl grows up in the wild..raised by Wolves. Develops animalistic superpowers. Falls in love with a zebra (of course). Zebra and Girl fight enemy invasion from aliens from distant galaxy. Alien being mates with zebra and girl in 3some, producing offspring that grows up to be a succesful movie star. Movie star girl/zebra/alien hybrid overdoses on sugar and dies of diabetes.
Honestly, how many times can they use that SAME plot....ugh.....

Come on, Kindergarten Cop is great. Also, nothing wrong with Junior or Twins. Essentially, Arnold can pull this off, but not the other guys.

Not sure how I missed this one. You're 100% right.
Usually the other team will be full of guys who are financially privileged, go to a better school, live better lives overall, and they're the bullies/shit-talkers.
And there is always a side-story in the movie where one (or more) of the players on the team the movie is about has a bunch of bad shit going on his life involving his family/friends/fellow neighborhood gangsters, and the coach will step in and help the young player deal with the stress.
Shit is stupid.

I've only seen garden state, but every zach Braff movie is exactly the same and awful
Every character that Zach Galifianakis plays is exactly the same, too. It's always the socially awkward, Hangover-type of loser.

I also tired of Samuel Jackson playing his Pulp Fiction character over and over in every single movie he's in. Dude is a one trick pony.

Ever since the Matrix came out, Laurence Fishburne talks like Morpheus ALL the time.
Any movie with combination of Morris Chestnut/Taye Diggs/Vivica Fox/Gabrielle Union has been recycled to death.
