If the Pelicans put a decent team around him, he gets at least 4 IMO. He'll peak after Lebron declines and will be the unquestioned best player in the league. He's the Tim Duncan of tomorrow, hopefully the Pelicans don't **** it up.

Not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4...
Probably ZERO:banghead:

Hard time accepting a team named the Pelicans would be reigning NBA champions...just doesn't sound right.
Jokes aside, I think he has the potential to win multiple championships with the right team built around him. He really is the Tim Duncan of tomorrow. He can give you 20 every night, combined with 10+ rebounds, some good passes, a steal or two, multiple blocks...he's the perfect franchise player and NO is really lucky to have him.
All he has to do is remain healthy, and he'll get at least one ring. Either NO stocks enough talent and sign some key FAs or he gets traded to a team with another franchise player and they win together (Gasol to LA type of scenario).

What a horrible question to ask. You might as well just have a thread entitled "Guess a number between 1-6"

more than Duncan if Spurs pick him up after Timmy retires and Pop decides to stick around

How the heck should we know..not with his current team for sure. Probably none or one..he'll ring chase at the end of his career. Win one as a role player.
So far? Zero. Should be counting how many playoff appearances at the moment

Too bad New Orleans is a piece of shit organizational that signs marginal talent to insane amounts of money.
Not to mention that backourt is filled with nothing but shot jackers.
Also, that Jrue Holliday trade was the second worst trade in recent memory, #1 being the Eric Gordon deal.

Depends if the Pelicans can put a nice team around him, and so far, their decisions haven't been great imo. I really didn't like the Noel trade during last years draft. Imagine that Noel/Davis interior defense. They also lost a 2014 pick in that trade, which they could've picked Payton with. Did get Asik, but he has only one year left on his contract.
Thus far, a KG-in-Minnesota-like career is most likely.

How could the Spurs pick him up and why would the Pelicans ever let him leave?

None.
Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook won't let him ever win one.

Its not up to the pelicans to "let him leave" or not, he will eventually be a UFA and can go to any team he wants.

How about they win one themselves before making statements like this

Who really knows it's hard to predict. I'll say couple, I guess.

I honestly don't see him winning in New Orleans, that franchise doesn't know what they're doing. I expect he'll win a couple before his career is up, but it's pretty much impossible to say at this point. He's going to have to find a legit running mate at some point if he wants to win, and I don't mean Jrue Holliday.

That'll be around 2020 or so.

Why do people compare him to Duncan instead of KG?

That's impossible to predict. If he has a good team around him, he'll win a few.
