An average day for Mike, no?
I can't see what's so special about this game.

No, nothing special. Like you said, an average game for him.

Which is a career game for a lot of players.

The video shows the Triangle offense in action.

It was a "pass-initiation" offense (a real phrase, not made up), where the offense was initiated each possession with passes to the wing or post...

The most significant aspect of the offense was that players had to operate from PRE-DRIBBLE, STATIONARY POSITIONS (this includes the post), instead of ongoing/continuous dribbling positions that are common with dribble-initiation offenses (such as screen-roll offenses).

The Triangle was also an equal-opportunity offense, designed for everyone to have equal time with the ball and equal opportunity to playmake - i.e. when luc longley caught it in the high post, he had the option to call his own number, or playmake by passing to a cutter or shooter.

Due to Jordan's off-ball skill, he could still maintain his same goat-level production from these positions, despite having to playmake with minimal dribbling or time with the ball - Jordan's ability to maintain his same goat-level production while playing within a low-dribble, equal opportunity offense, allowed his teammates to play to their full capacity... It was simply the most optimal way he could score his points, which is why phil implemented the offense.

the Triangle provided equal opportunity for everyone to playmake, just like the Spurs offense where all 5 guys playmake - below, you can see Will Perdue playmaking from the high post - he has the option of calling his own number, and occasionally he would:

Here's Jordan making a similar play to Perdue's play (only he hits a cutter instead of a shooter):

you can see the discipline it takes to run the Triangle, and why guys who are used to getting their buckets by dribbling a lot, have problems with the offense.
