Okay, time for some actual analysis this time.

A quick review of Week 1 predictions (bold denotes correct prediction):

D.R.A.K.E. defeats TEAM OJ Mayo
G-Train defeats Overdosed
Keep Floatin defeats sizz
Big Poppa PUMPIN defeats 313
NJ3 MVP @NavidsWorld defeats Rameek's Year
Iamgine defeats Pocahontas
TysonChandlerParsons defeats Dream Team

2014-2015 Fantasy MVP: Anthony Davis, New Orleans Pelicans
2014-2015 Fantasy MIP: Chris Bosh, Miami Heat

Biggest Gamble of the Draft: Kevin Durant #3 Overall
Biggest Steal of the Draft: Isaiah Thomas, #93 Overall

Thus far, my player picks are pinpoint, Bosh and Anthony Davis are off to amazing starts, Isaiah Thomas (although limited by minutes/role) has been very efficient.

Onto the Power Rankings:

1. 313 (Last Week: #1) 5-4-0 - The Champ stay The Champ. Kicked it off with a super tight matchup (won categories with +5 points, +4 assists, +3 steals, +6 threes) and got blown out in everything else. But any week where 313 can stay ahead while Durant (and Oladipo) recovers is a huge week. 313 will have an interesting 'crossroads' decision as the team sported a 58% FT this week and I'm unsure whether Durant can fix that mess, ultimately I think Durant ends up getting moved because his value is easier to recoup then the likes of Dwight, Nerlens Noel, etc.

2. iamgine (Last Week #2) 5-4-0 - iamgine kicked it off where he left off, hitting some threes, doing well in guard statistics and getting railed in big categories (to be fair, almost stole blocks). This team doesn't appear to be as powerful as years past, but the consistency has never been a problem, iamgine will hardly ever be blown out and should continue to rack up close wins.

3. Keep Floatin (Last Week #3) 8-1-0 - Keep Floatin had a huge week 1, which will be needed with the unfortunate loss of the Russell Westbrook. It's hard to read a lot into this result because sizz is absolutely brutal. Keep Floatin FT% was awful (70.1%) but still good enough to win. With the loss of Westbrook, the team is left with only Teague as a traditional point, will need Tyreke to step up his dimes to fill the void, this is a forward/big heavy team who just lost his key cog in the backcourt, struggles could ensure.

4. D.R.A.K.E. (Last Week #4) 5-4-0 - D.R.A.K.E. opened up his quest for ring #4 with a tight, competitive matchup with lilojmayo. Trailing for most of the week, a strong weekend pushed D.R.A.K.E. over the top to a comfortable 5-4 win. The returns of Kawhi Leonard and Reggie Jackson should help as Week 2 presents a stiffer test. Improvement in the backcourt will be needed to jump into title contention as this roster seems a big too excessive at the center position with 3PT and AST clear weakness.

5. Dream Team (Last Week #6) 7-2-0 - Dream Team gets a 1 spot bump for a solid 7-2 win over TysonChandlerParsons. It was a solid opening week for the man with the golden plan, although his overall numbers were nothing out of ordinary. Right now this roster is getting a huge boost from Brandon Knight and Terrence Jones. It will need Deandre Jordan and Andre Drummond to step up in a big way if it hopes to deliver on the guarantees previously made. Long term, there may some weakness at the PG when Knight inevitably cools off.

6. Pocahontas (Last Week #5) 4-5-0 - Dropped a tight matchup to iamgine but I'm still a believer in the talent on this roster as the highest ranked team who lost their week 1 matchup. Demarcus Cousins, Nikola Vucevic, Joe Johnson, and Gordon Hayward had big weeks and the pickup of Perry Jones III should provide a huge boost in the short run. This roster has depth, talent and is pretty well balanced. Like many others, Pocahontas should be on the hunt for a point guard to compliment Kyrie Irving, seems to be the one noticeable absence on this well composed roster.

7. Rameek's Year! (Last Week #10) 6-3-0 - A very very strong week 1 performance by Rameek's Year! who dropped 40 threes and over 550 points in a shortened week. It's hard to find weakness in any of the totals put up this past week, of particular dominance was the threeheaded monster of Rudy Gay, LaMarcus Aldridge, and Blake Griffin. This team has a very solid core but I still have questions about the #9-13 range of the roster. If Rameek's Year! can sustain this type of performance, the eventual return of Bradley Beal will provide a big boost. A very impressive Week 1 and a "sleeper" team to watch out for in the coming weeks.

Rankings 8-14 and Week 2 predictions to follow.

Pistol Pete
11-03-2014, 07:37 AM
8. G-train (Last Week #11) 6-3-0 - Another team which put up a huge week 1. Chris Bosh has been an absolute monster through the first 3 games for G-train. It's impressive to take 6 categories when Kevin Love was virtually irrelevant in the overall picture. G-train will need more from Lance Stephenson, Goran Dragic and a few of his supporting pieces if the winning ways are to continue, but it was a great beginning.

9. NJ3MVP @NavidsWorld (Last Week #7) 3-6-0 - Dropped a tough week 1 loss to Rameek's Year!, but I still believe in the power of LeBron James. James wasn't his usually stat stuffing self in the first week and that should eventually sort itself out. Nicolas Batum has been a severe disappointment through the first 3 games, a bounceback from him will be critical to getting into the winning columns. Overall, the roster should be worthy of challenging for a playoff spot, simply a week 1 slip up in my opinion.

10. TysonChandlerParson (Last Week #8) 2-7-0 - A disappointing week 1 performance from TysonChandlerParsons but not something I believe will occur regularly. This roster struggled carrying injuries of Nick Young, Patrick Beverley, and (Josh McRoberts, effectively). With McRoberts back, these next few weeks will be huge on which way this team is going to go. Quite simply, right now the supporting cast has been atrocious - Giannis, Henson, Avery Bradley, Enes Kanter (along with Nick Young/Beverley/McRoberts) are not rosterable at their current levels of production, TysonChandlerParsons will need 3-4 of these to pan out if he hopes to make a playoff run... atleast the Mavericks in real life are looking very strong and dangerous!

11. Overdosed (Last Week #9) 3-6-0 - Getting carried by my fantasy MVP choice (and the #1 player of last week) Anthony Davis, but also getting absurd production from the #3 overall player, Klay Thompson. Savvy sleeper production from Overdosed staple Larry Sanders and Mirza Teletovic. How does this team lose with these guys exploding? Elfrid Payton, Jabari Parker, Andrew Wiggins, Marcus Smart are 4, unrosterable black holes (thats wacist) in a cast littered with top 75 production. It's inexcusable to allow this to occur, Overdosed will need these guys to get it together or he must cut bait as the core is way too strong to waste.

12. Big Poppa Pumpin (Last Week #12) 4-5-0 - Dropped a tight one to defending champ 313 in the battle of the injuries. Quite simply, I'm not sure this roster is capable of surviving injuries to MCW, Lamb, and George Hill (and now Amir Johnson is banged up). Derrick Favors and Chris Paul had monster weeks and Big Poppa Pumpin franchise player Al Horford has gotten off to a great start coming off injury, but this many injuries along with the end of the roster depth pieces contributing little will make it tough to stay above water, health is paramount.

13. Team OJ Mayo (Last Week #14) 4-5-0 - Dropped a tight contest to D.R.A.K.E. in which he led most of the week. This roster is razor thin with 4 main cogs in Dwyane Wade, Derrick Rose, Kobe Bryant, and Damian Lillard. The obvious problem in this strategy is that Rose/Bryant/Wade are injury prone/aging/injury prone+aging, and with no preseason top 100 pieces supporting them, the strategy is too volatile in my opinion. Adjustment will be needed, but perhaps the quick start of OJ Mayo, Nene Hilario, Marcus Morris can provide an opportunity in the trade market. For certain, Team OJ Mayo will need Derrick Rose playing at an MVP level, and not injured, to make any ground in his playoff chase.

14. sizz (Last Week #13) 1-8-0 - What can you really say? I hate to pile on but this roster is bad. Although inactivity has been a staple, this wasn't the roster sizz drafted, and it's questionable whether he'll invest the time to fixing the mess. Injuries to Calderon, Brook Lopez, and David West handicapped his week 1 production and right now this is about a 4-5 man team. The roster is extremely big heavy (Jefferson, Ibaka, Lopez, Monroe plus forwards like Parsons, West, Pierce) and non existent in guards. sizz is going to have to make a huge effort to get this team on the right track, I hope I'm wrong but history tells us this effort won't happen, a long season and a probable bottom 2 finish await unless this turns around.

Week 2 Predictions

D.R.A.K.E. defeats Dream Team (Matchup of the Week)
NJ3 MVP @Navidsworld defeats Overdosed
Pocahontas defeats Keep Floatin
313 defeats sizz

Although I have no idea why you guys let Sizz stay.. he doesn't even bother trying at all right?

Week 3 Rankings and Predictions

1. 313 (Last Week #1, 5-4-0, 10-8-0)

Well, 313 hasn't done anything remarkable, and he's played weak competition, but two weeks, two wins, two weeks closer to the return of Oladipo and Durant. Tony Wroten has been an absolute horse filling up every category (including turnovers). Sitting in a playoff spot after two weeks despite these injuries, 313 just needs to keep it going, avoid the blow out losses, bide his time, no matter how bad his opponents have been, it's hard not to be impressed with what he has done thus far. Shoutout Iman Shumpert.

2. iamgine (Last Week #2, 6-2-1, 11-6-1)

Another week, another win, this one more emphatic, James Harden is putting this team on his back. Near and dear to the heart of team iamgine, the life of Linsanity is dare I say, on the comeback trail. He'd provide a big boost relative to his draft position if he can capture the magic of his Knick days. It's hard to say a lot about this team, it puts up big numbers, it puts up 3s, it's really tough to beat, the consistency is remarkable.

3. Dream Team (Last Week #5, 5-4-0, 12-6-0)

Well, what else can be said? Dream Team jumped out to an early lead over yours truly, and I wasn't able to ever make up the gap. This was a clean 5-4 win, with victory really never in doubt with 5 dominant categories. Trevor Ariza jumped out with two huge games with the week and Stephen Curry was his usual strong self. This team is deep, talented, and putting up numbers. Andre Drummond, for all his potential, has been a disappointment thus far, but his emergence could take this team to another level. Congratulations on the win.

4. Rameek's Year (Last Week #7, 7-2-0, 13-5-0)

The man, the myth, the legend, hitting his stride, #1 in Premier Football, occupying the #1 spot in Premier Basketball through 2 weeks. It's hard not to be impressed with what has gone down through two dominant victories. Rudy Gay, Kyle Korver, LaMarcus Aldridge, Wesley Matthews, and Blake Griffin have given Rameek's Year a “DZW”-esque core 5 that is carrying this roster. It is downright impressive that this team has jumped out to such a strong start while also holding onto Bradley Beal's injury. Keep it up old head.

5. Pocahontas (Last Week #6, 6-3-0, 10-8-0)

Boogie Cousins is bringing the heat and him teaming up with Vucevic is probably the best interior duo in the league right now. Chris Copeland is putting up big numbers but he should take a hit with the return of the David West this week. Gordon Hayward and JJ Redick filling the white guy quota nicely by filling up the board. This is a deep team, this is a roster I liked since the draft, and I'm not surprised to see the big guy rumbling up the board. This is a playoff team right now and I'd expect it to continue, there is some volatility in the roster but I'm buying.

6. Keep Floatin (Last Week #3, 3-6-0, 11-7-0)

After a big 8-1 win to open, took it on the chin this week, but it's hard to not see the impact of carrying Russell Westbrook's injury. Uncle Jeff Green has exploded with a new found aggressiveness but I think this team needs to address it's weakness inside. There are a lot of nice pieces, and like team 313, this will be about staying above water while Westbrook is hurt then making a run when he comes back. Unlikely, but while Westbrook is hurt, this team could use some production from Josh Smith and Eric Gordon, lol, you got Jeff Green, can't get all three.

7. D.R.A.K.E. (Last Week #4, 4-5-0, 9-9-0)

A disappointing loss but well deserved for D.R.A.K.E., didn't show up for the first half of the week and got what I deserved. Reggie Jackson has provided a big boost, and Demar Derozan and Pau Gasol has been everything I could hope for. For this team to turn it on, trades need to be made in deficient categories, and Kawhi Leonard (who showed signs of life last game) needs to take the leap back to his top 20-25 self. Rumours of his eye infection still bothering him are worrysome, but in the famous words of D.R.A.K.E., it always works out, keep calm, no panic, be cerebral.

Rankings 8-14 along with Week 3 predictions to follow...

Pistol Pete
11-10-2014, 04:54 PM
8. Overdosed (Last Week #11, 5-3-1, 8-9-1)

Anthony Davis is an animal, Eric Bledsoe and Evan Fournier have provided some nice support. Overdosed has been active on the wire and made some nice pickups, but at the end of the day, I still don't see a sustained title run until he relinquishes control of the rookie fetish. Markieff Morris, Jared Sullinger, and Mirza Teletovic are the type of support pieces that this team should be targeting – not green rookies who are a year or two away. Still, with Anthony Davis as a focal point, this team will always have that title potential, he's a 9 category filler.

9. TysonChandlerParsons (Last Week #10, 6-3-0, 8-10-0)

A good rebound win from TysonChandlerParsons, thankfully. I believe in this roster so it was good to see a convincing win over an inferior opponent. This was an early must win for this squad. It's perfect that Dirk Nowitzki put the team on his back this week, Kyle Lowry also has put up some huge games, including a triple double. Early season disappointment Joakim Noah can push this team to another level if he's able to get back on track. The end of the bench depth pieces really need to step up as he's currently not getting enough from the likes of Afflalo, McRoberts, Henson, etc. Nevertheless, a win is a win, and TysonChandlerParsons is temporarily back on track.

10. G-Train (Last Week #8, 2-6-1, 8-9-1)

It's tough to drop when you put up a big week, and I slightly feel bad about dropping G-train this far in the rankings because losing to iamgine is pretty standard at this point. Despite the loss, I still love this roster, still love many of the pieces on the roster, and am a big believer in its potential, this squad is borderline 12 deep and Donald Sloan and Draymond Green have been huge in support. If they can sustain this when George Hill and David Lee (ideally to the bench) return, watch out, this team is ready to push forward.

11. NJ3 MVP @NavidsWorld (Last Week #9, 3-5-1, 6-11-1)

You can sum up the early season performance of this roster by saying LeBron is not currently LeBron. Jimmy Butler has provided huge numbers early but as the King goes, so will this roster. It's hard to really be critical when nearly everyone would have been thrilled to take LeBron #1 overall. Nicolas Batum has also been super disappointing, this roster's production has just been super disappointing, word of the week for NJ3 MVP @NavidsWorld, disappointing. It should turn around, but that assumes LeBron turns it on.

12. Big Poppa Pumpin (Last Week #12, 3-6-0, 7-11-0)

Another week, another pretty convincing loss, this team is the human injury bug right now and the roster isn't good enough to compensate. George Hill, Michael Carter-Williams, Amir Johnson, Ty Lawson, questionable depth pieces galore, Chris Paul and Al Horford not giving enough production, there are major problems all over right now. Big Poppa Pumpin badly needs healthy, and some breaks, to get things turned around, the nature of Premier League is that you can't afford to fall behind, so doing it quickly is important.

13. Team OJ Mayo (Last Week #13, 2-7-0, 6-12-0)

Damian Lillard stepped up, Kobe Bryant has been solid, Dwyane Wade was prime Wade, but bottom line though is, as currently constructed, this team cannot afford to miss Derrick Rose because the depth cannot make up for the missed production. This team badly needs Rose back in order to evaluate where the true holes are. As it stands, this is not a playoff team, and is a long way from contending for a title. If Team OJ Mayo can get all 4 stars playing at an elite level, and scheduling is kind, it's not outside the realm of possibility to defeat anyone, but that's merely a hope, and not a consistent threat at this point.

14. Sizz (Last Week #14, 4-5-0, 5-13-0)

Well, Al Jefferson and Serge Ibaka have been beasts. Chandler Parsons has been a dud, overall, his counting stats were actually respectable and maybe he deserved a slightly better fate, but at the end of the day, you can't lose to a guy who is basically just trying to survive right now. Two weeks in, this team is still headed south, at some point, a change of direction is needed, the roster as is won't get it done. David West will provide a boost if he's able to return this week.

Rameek's Year defeats D.R.A.K.E.

G-Train defeats Keep Floatin

I have a rammed schedule but the power rankings will be back this week. Perhaps this may be the final edition of the season, perhaps not, I do know these will be the all knowing, unified premier league power rankings.

Myself and Glove have spent hours running through the data, combining his advanced algorithms with my intuitive, old school approach to give you an irrefutable look into the TRUE rankings of premier league basketball.

Stay tuned, these will be glorious, and they cannot be disputed, Glove's computer system is spectacular and it was an honour to get to see it work it's magic first hand. I have never been more proud of a set of rankings than I am of this upcoming edition.

1. TysonChandlerParsons (Two Weeks Ago, #9)

Well, a lot has changed since I updated this last. I was high on this roster and since then, he has ripped off a 14-4-0 stretch including a dominating win over a recently stacked Pocahontas roster. What has changed? Well, a blockbuster saw Jimmy Buckets arrive, and Joakim Noah on his way out, but mostly, the supporting cast that failed him for the first 3-4 games has finally decided to show up and give his main core solid contributions. This team is deep, steady, and talented

Pistol Pete

8. Big Poppa Pumpin (Two Weeks Ago, #12)

Well, health is certainly a vital thing in fantasy sports. A team that couldn't buy a win has gotten some people onto the court and two quality wins have followed for a 11-7-0 mark. Unfortunately, just as he starts making some progress, Roy Hibbert and Carlos Boozer have joined George Hill on the trainer's table. Still, this has been a very positive turn and a worthy bump in the rankings. I have questions about the roster and it feels remarkable that a team with only 4 top 100 players is getting wins, but somehow it's been working. Chris Paul is an animal and Roy Hibbert has been huge in a rebound year. Big Poppa Pumpin gets sizz this week, so despite the injuries, this is a golden opportunity to pick up another big win.

9. Rameek's Year (Two Weeks Ago, #4)

Well shit, from 1st place two weeks ago to 12th place today after two punishing 7-2 losses summed up to an ugly 4-14-0 stretch. I still am a fan of this roster, but Blake Griffin needs to turn it around in a big way if this roster is going to rebound from recent struggles. LaMarcus Aldridge, Kyle Korver, and Rudy Gay continue to carry the load while Darren Collison appears to be one of the better draft picks made in the league this year. Bradley Beal has stepped in from injury and given Rameek's Year some quality production, but more is obviously needed from the whole cast. Addressing the end of his roster with some savvy pickups could be a big way to get more help, currently, the bottom 3-4 guys on this roster not doing quite enough.

10. Dream Team (Two Weeks Ago, #3)

It began with a shocking 6-3 loss to Big Poppa Pumpin. Perhaps his team was too well rested? Was there chemistry issues because Brandon “The Dark” Knight (that's wacist) didn't like passing to his teammates and was bombing layups for the win? Everyone has a bad week though, so given the history of the powerhouse Dream Team, everyone assumed a 7-2 or 8-1 win versus winless, inactive sizz was coming. But not so fast! Sizz turns the table on Glove_20, by employing a genius benching strategy (benching a 15/10 big and a 8/6 top 100 stat stuffer for injured Jose Calderon and 5/3 Javale McGee), who could have expected this strategy to lead to a win in rebounds? I don't blame Glove_20 for not seeing this sneak attack coming. Sizz rested his players all week, and the increase in morale from that rest pushed him to a shocking 5-4 win. Not all is bad for the Dream Team though, despite two of the worst losses of the season, an even 2-2 record on the year, he still clings to relevance with his 5th place position in the league standings. Things get rough this week as he goes against powerhouse Pocahontas. This roster has been borderline crippled by the loss of Terrence Jones and Ricky Rubio, while the black hole that is Andre Drummond (that's wacist) is an early contender for worst draft pick of the year. Stephen Curry is a monster, and Danny Green has provided a nice boost recently, but I question the critical analysis of this manager and his ability to correctly and objectively sell on certain players whom are unlikely to sustain current production. If losing continues, trade prices will need to come down, or else Glove_20 will need to accept his fate of missing the Premier League Playoffs.

11. DZW (Two Weeks Ago, Not Ranked (#13))

Well, what a difference a few weeks makes. This manager wasn't even in the league but DZW kicked through that door and nobly took on a huge challenge. In typical DZW fashion, all he does is win. I'm not quite sure what's happened but an 11-7-0 stretch versus two solid teams in Team Fournicator and iamgine actually did occur. Is it disgraced managers OJ Mayo vision coming to fruition? Probably not. But this roster is proof of what intelligent, methodical planning (by DZW) can do for results. Somehow this roster sports 10 top 100 players, many recent adds whom are all anchored by the prodigy Damian Lillard. As he continues his meteroic rise, inquiring minds (Pistol Pete) want to know what will happen when DZW wins the league title. A typical humanitarian, and a total sociopath move, DZW will “donate” the winnings to a charity of his choice, then post fake receipts and spend the money on Korean BBQ, lottery tickets and backyard c ock fighting bets. Typical Asia.

12. G-Train (Two Weeks Ago, #10)

Well, this is most certainly the most unfair ranking given out this week and I'm not sure a drop this low is truly deserved. A respectable 9-9-0 stretch against two solid teams is nothing to be concerned over, and this roster is still talented. Kevin Love and Goran Dragic are killing this roster right now and the likes of Draymond Green, Chris Bosh, and Isaiah Thomas are trying to keep it in the win column. At the end of the day, G-Train will have some difficult decisions to make if his early round picks aren't working out. Speculative trades like the one TysonChandlerParsons made where you can 'buy' a career breakout for a young player may be the way to recoup lost value of Dragic (and Love if he doesn't get back to his 1st round production).

13. Go Mamba @NavidsWorld (Two Weeks Ago, #11)

The only roster that has yet to get a win after sizz pulled off an unbelievable victory over Dream Team. I hated the Gasol for Kobe trade and I question whether selling “high” on Jimmy Buckets was in fact selling high (and if Noah was the right player to sell him for). This team has certainly been crushed by the fact that Nicolas Batum and LeBron James simply have not been up to par. But at some point, adjustments need to be made and expectations need to be altered. Right now, this team simply isn't good enough. I don't like the blend of players and despite a decent amount of talent, I think adjustment is needed if this team is going to turn it around.

14. Sizz (Two Weeks Ago, #14)

Well, on the bright side, sizz actually managed to pick up his victory of the season. But on the other hand, who did he really beat? A non contender. Sizz implemented an odd strategy by benching PJ Tucker and Greg Monroe the entire week. I guess he felt his guys needed a rest and a week off versus a weak opponent like Glove_20 was a worthwhile time to do it. It almost backfired as he nearly lost rebounds but perhaps rather fortunately, his opponent was not even able to beat his 10 man roster. If more wins follow, a rise from the #14 spot will follow. But for now, this is the official sizz ranking spot.

1. Always SELL on Bird being a top 3 team
2. Jeff Green is only a surprise to people who don't have access to games in Amsterdam.
3. Iamgine needs a better Imagination when building a squad. The league has caught on.
4. Pocahontas died very young, expect Sky's season to do the same.
5. Those recent injuries will work themselves out, it it too bad that it will result in a mass drop of players from DRAKE's injury prone team.
6. "creepy, sociopath, serial killer, troubling, sick, vile, twisted, dirty, unclean, aggressive, impure, inappropriate rookie infatuations" - That about sums it up.
7. Someone needs to call 911 on 313 because he flat murdered his championship chances with the Durant/Dwight combo.
8. Big Poppa Pumpin better start pumping those injury prone guys if those guys ever come back.
9. Savvy pickups? Rameek? LOL
10. 20 spots too high.
11. 20 spots too low
12. I was going to try to type something clever, but like his home country, G-Train's team is straight B-O-R-I-N-G.
13. Doesn't matter where his team finishes, LeBron + Kobe = SWAG CHAMPION
14. Came up with the brilliant strategy of benching Greg "no one wanted him in free agency" Monroe for Jose "Toronto's finest" Calderon AND doesn't move up. I smell BIAS.

It's about time some real PR's are coming... As long as you and Sky alternate every week its all good. I know you have a busy schedule so your time and diligence is appreciated.

Alright, haven't written these in 6 weeks so just disregarding old rankings, partially because the formatting takes time and I'm lazy and want to pump these out. Without further delay,

1. Pocahontas – Finally got over the injury bug and reaping the benefits of basically nuking the league earlier this year in his veto deals. This team will go as far as the core of Gasol, Cousins, Lowry, and Irving can carry them but Pocahontas has done well to surround with strong secondary pieces. His turnaround (26-9-1) definitely came during the weakest part of his schedule but I don't see this team slowing down and safely lock it in as a playoff team and title contender. I think he is on his own tier and there is a relatively severe drop off after him. Don't choke Richard.

2. Big Poppa PUMPIN – Among the top 5, the only one consistently getting results. Count me among the non believers as I just don't really enjoy the roster from a personal standpoint, but hard to argue with results, and wins in 6 of his last 8 weeks including a win over the #1 team in this ranking. Chris Paul is having an underrated Chris Paul season, returning top 5 value with no buzz. This team has clearly found a nice balance after struggling super early on with injuries. It'll be interesting to see if it can be sustained in the second half of the year. For now, a well earned #2 spot due to consistency and quality performance.

3. Team Fournicator – Survived his death battle with the Dream Team 2 (Glove_20) and earned a quality 5-3 win in a match that was much more competitive than a normal midseason clash. This team is still a bunch of puppies surrounding the gross output of Anthony Davis and Klay Thompson but those rookies have started to turn it on lately and the results have followed. With the very recent trade of Timofey Mozgov, the savvy pickup of Jusuf Nurkic looks like it could pay off in a major way and give Team Fournicator an ideal Robin to Anthony Davis' Batman. If the kids get hot at the right time, this team is title worthy. I'm not sure if Team Fournicator even realizes it (I'm pretty sure he doesn't cause he's dumb), but his strategy will pay off the most as teams start shutting people down and the rookies get more run. History tells us this manager has never been competitive enough to reap those benefits but maybe this is the year the stars align.

4. Keep Floatin – Coming off back to back losses but the first (5-4 to yours truly) was extremely unfortunate and the result of a horrific shooting Sunday. The most recent, a 7-2 smackdown was likely the result of some scheduling, some Jodie Meeks going ham, and a bad stylistic matchup. Keep Floatin has been hovering around the top of the standings and had some nice foresight to dupe a less experienced manager to taking on the future corpse of Carmelo Anthony for Rajon Rondo (and maybe other stuff but I'm lazy). Most recently, Keep Floatin flipped the trio of Gortat, Parker, and T. Young for Dirk Nowitzki. I question this fit greatly as Nowitzki derives his value from FG/FT/TO and Keep Floatin borderline tanks 2 of the 3 (FG/TO). It's too early to declare it a mistake, and it will be interesting to see how the results come in the next few weeks, an important match versus his trade partner TysonChandlerParsons kicks off this week.

5. TysonChandlerParsons – Was cruising at the top of the standings, team was looking strong, then the injury bug hit, tried to make some trades to compensate (mistake), lost some value (mistake), lost focus of what was making his team great (mistake), and has since struggled to turn it on (winless in the last month, 0-3-1). This team continues to ride MIP Jimmy Butler in an impressive and alarming fashion. The recent trade to ship out Dirk Nowitzki should provide some much needed depth and support, whether he's identified a proper balance is a question, but I strongly agree with the idea that he needed to bring in some depth to shore up his team, his supporting cast (like in the start of the season) hadn't been getting it done lately. The next 4-6 weeks will decide his season and it was definitely time, for better or worse, to make a move. No glory in 5th-7th place, FLAGS FLY FOREVER.

6. Rameek's Year – The hot and cold team of the year, when he was written off after a brutal five week stretch, Rameek's Year has silenced a lot of people with a stellar 17-10-0 and 3 quality wins (two over people ranked in the top 5 of this PR) to jump right back into the playoff picture. He gets an absolute layup this week facing sizz before heading into a showdown with #1 ranked Pocahontas. It will be huge if Rameek's Year can take a 6-3 or 7-2 win off sizz prior to that bloodbath. This team is sneaky deep (Teague, Korver, Gay, Griffin, Chandler, Aldridge) are all easy top 50 players and Darren Collison has been thus far and is showing no signs of slowing down. The Jeff Teague trade was absolute gold and it'd be scary if Blake Griffin ever ramped it back up to last years top 25 production. If Rameek's Year can get any top 100 production out of his bottom ~5 players (Lou Williams has been rock solid) and Cole Aldrich was a sneaky good add in a tanking Knicks season, watch out, because while the core carries the team, the supporting cast wins leagues and this team is not far off when it's healthy.

7. DETROIT VS EVERYBODY – With a severe change in roster over the last 6 weeks, the artist formerly known as 313 essentially ditched his preseason path to title and opted to gun for a new route. The early results have been promising, a 13-5-0 stretch over the past two weeks, but buyer beware on that fact as DETROIT VS EVERYBODY has faced probably the two most tailor made matchups in the league for him. With ten top 100 players, the roster certainly does not lack talent, but it will need Kevin Love to return to 1st round form if it wants to make a sustained run. In the next few weeks, if I managed the team, I'd be tempted to scale back the threes to address other needs if the excess production continues. Otherwise, potentially a trade of a Dwyane Wade who isn't an ideal fit for the roster, or set it and forget it and see how the strategy plays out for the next month before making more adjustments.

8. D.R.A.K.E. - A sputtering team who has been unimpressive over the last 4-6 weeks, partially due to injuries to Kawhi Leonard, Andrew Bogut and Demar Derozan, but partially due to lack of depth and an inability to find a proper mix of star talent and quality supporting cast. It will be a huge boost whenever the injuries subside and will provide a clearer look at where this team stands, but as this continues, playoffs are out of the question. A small shakeup recently has yet to pay off as Derrick Rose has had historical struggles with his jump shot, but if the slide continues, bigger changes will come. This team is nowhere near title contention and will need to make a move at some point if titles are the aim. Titles ARE the aim, and changes WILL happen.

No power rankings, just going to post some predictions of what will unfold the last ~6 weeks of this season, including playoffs.

Final Standings

1. Overdosed Redux
2. D.R.A.K.E.
3. Big Poppa PUMPIN
4. iamgine
5. TysonChandlerParsons
6. Pocahontas

Where Could I Go Wrong?: I see two potential mistakes. First, Big Poppa PUMPIN may have the inside track to the 2nd bye over D.R.A.K.E., if that occurs, I'd expect D.R.A.K.E. to slide into the 3 spot and take out Pocahontas and again, Big Poppa PUMPIN in round 2.

Secondly, I have team Pocahontas collecting a lopsided victory over sizz next week which will allow him to capture the 6 seed. If he's unable to win 7-2 or better, I like the Dream Team to capture the 6 seed. Saying that, I can't shake the feeling that Dream Team will do something especially stupid managerial wise, costing himself his season. Dream Team has shown himself to be probably the worst in-matchup manager Premier has ever seen, if he can get out of his own way, he may qualify for playoffs. Regardless, I do not see either Pocahontas or Dream Team lasting past the 3/6 matchup (I do believe Dream Team has better shot of an upset in a 3/6 matchup)

Playoffs:

Big Poppa PUMPIN defeat Pocahontas 6-3, advances to play D.R.A.K.E.
TysonChandlerParsons defeat iamgine 5-4, advances to play Overdosed Redux

Comments: Big Poppa PUMPIN is hitting his stride at the right time, may have the return of Durant, and made some solid trades before the deadline. I think he collects a comfortable win. TysonChandlerParsons avoided near disaster with a deadline Wes Matthews trade. I look at this matchup as "big vs small" and I think the core bigs TCP has assembled is good enough to collect a rather straight forward (in terms of categories won), but tight, victory.

D.R.A.K.E. defeat Big Poppa PUMPIN 5-4, advances to finals
Overdosed Redux defeat TysonChandlerParsons 6-3, advances to finals

Comments: I think D.R.A.K.E. versus Big Poppa Pumping can be the matchup of the year, but in the end, I believe D.R.A.K.E.'s end of the season waiver wire ability and strategic planning will be enough to secure a tight 5-4 victory. In the other matchup, as he has been all year long, I simply expect talent to win out, end of the road for a quality TysonChandlerParsons squad.

Big Poppa PUMPIN defeat TysonChandlerParsons 5-4, Big Poppa PUMPIN 3rd place finisher

D.R.A.K.E. defeat Overdosed Redux 5-4, Overdosed Redux 2nd place finisher, D.R.A.K.E. 2015 Premier League Basketball Champion

Comments: Big Poppa PUMPIN handles TCP in a competitive 3rd place matchup. In the grand final, in an upset, experience and desire overcomes odds as D.R.A.K.E. claims his 4th title in the matchup everyone has been anticipating for the last 5 months. After a 1-1 season series that ended 9-9-0, D.R.A.K.E. uses his fresh roster while Overdosed Redux struggles with people getting rested and an inability to effectively navigate the wire in the end of the season.

Spoilers? The obvious candidate would be Keyser Soze Reborn, however, I suspect that injuries have forced him out of time. A top 6 worthy team that couldn't consistently field his entire team. As a Blake Griffin return is near, he will surely be a brutal matchup the last few weeks, and I would expect has the inside track to the Consolation Championship? Team supercool unfortunately paid the Kings ransom for Wes Matthews only to watch his achilles explode, as it stands, this team is left void of talent and no comeback is in the cards this year. A disappointing end for what was a very competitive and respectable performance all year from Team supercool.

Evidently I can't predict seeds for shit, but I got the 6 teams involved in the title race correct.

Predictions:

4 Pocahontas vs 5 D.R.A.K.E.

Season Series: 2-0 Pocahontas (12-6-0 Pocahontas)

Prediction: D.R.A.K.E. in an upset via back alley murder, 5-4 final.

X-Factor: Isaiah Thomas - rumoured to be sometime midweek, if he can get in 3 games, will be a huge boost. Regardless, this lifeless corpse will be on my roster until the end.

3 TysonChandlerParsons vs 6 Big Poppa PUMPIN

Season Series: 2-0 TysonChandlerParsons (11-7-0 TysonChandlerParsons)

Prediction: TysonChandlerParsons wins 6-3

X-Factor: Injury - Big Poppa PUMPIN has already cut bait with his playoff reinforcement, Kevin Durant. Now, LaMarcus Aldridge is battling an injury and Tobias Harris has found himself out of the past few games, this is the heart of the Big Poppa PUMPIN roster and I'm not sure he'll be able to get through the week versus a team he has already struggled with.

We could have discussed it in chat on Sunday because I show up every day, win or lose. Then again, it'd be a pointless conversation to have, you've never been involved in a Premier League playoff match so what can you tell me? How to choke against the worst teams in the league? How to miss the playoffs? How to come up 0.5 games short? To throw when I should run? So you can educate me on the merits of early season rest? So that you can lose twice to the worst team in Premier History? So that you can lose to me 5-4, the ultimate difference between me in the playoffs and you out of the playoffs? You have a historical player putting up 24/8/4 with 4.5 threes, 2 steals per game on 46/95, combined with two bigs each getting 16 rebs and 2 blocks per game, and you missed the playoffs. You'll never have that core of talent again, and you could only manage 7th place with it. Without doubt, your team is 100% more talented than my team, but without doubt, I am far better than you will be. I am far better than you will ever dream to be. In what world could you ever be better than me? Such a world does not exist. 7th place with that season from Curry, not to mention Deandre, Drummond, Draymond, Ariza, Rubio, simply embarrassing. I feel bad for those players, they deserved better than your incompetent ass.

Keep managing your consolation roster acting like you ain't trying to get that meaningless title. I see you. Irrelevant as always.

Look there is 1 champion, EVERYONE else is a loser and irrelevant. Don't act like you did something more special than me this year, because you didn't. You lost. No one cares if you make playoffs if you don't bring home the championship. And if you are proud of making the playoffs and call that an accomplishment, you are even more pathetic than I first thought. :facepalm

I at least know that I was closer to winning the championship than you. Just 0.5 games more, and after that I had a good shot as anyone to win it. You and your squad NEVER had a shot. As you admit, it didn't have the talent level to compete with the big dogs like my squad did. I went 7-3 against the playoff teams and 5-1 against the Final 4 teams remaining. I know I was making the playoffs away from a serious title shot. While you, never had a shot to begin with with your weak ass roster. I had a very talented roster that could take out anyone. Statman even knew I was his biggest threat, its why he picked up Dwight to give himself the advantage over me, but when I got back Dwight tides had shifted. In fact, with the talent that was on my team, I may have been the "expected" winner of that matchup if it ever occurred.

So I knew I was 0.5 away. You, you were never even close despite making playoffs. But does that take any of my pain away? No. I'm still completely devastated and wish not to talk about this. But I sure don't know why you are boasting like you won the championship. Oh well, I guess the weak like you should be proud of making playoffs.

Congrats on the amazing season bro
