Uhhhhhh wasn't he a Rockets fan last year?
Anyway, disappointing game for Lin. I hope he can do better than that. Could turn out bringing him off the bench is indeed the best way to play him.

lin was very indecisive this game, you can tell mentally he got really down when he missed his layups....
his indecisive, sloppy passing will go away as he ages and matures as a PG, the ones he always throws around the perimeter....
he needs to be on the court with certain players to maximise his strength....like ed davis. Playing with jordan hill and boozer is really bad for his game.

I don't care about Lin, he's playing the way I expected him to play. I wish him the best but he's not a good player. It's his annoying fans here who I have a problem with. He's not underperforming, he's playing how most people imagine he would. That's why houston gave a pick away with him so someone would take their trash.

He averaged about 13/5 in a system not suited to his abilities in Houston. On this Lakers team, 15/6 sounds reasonable. But even if he only matches his Houston numbers (unless you think he somehow got worse over the offseason), how is 13/5 "trash"? Sounds like an average player to me. In fact sounds like good 6th man numbers, which it's looking more and more like Lin is suited to being the 6th man. To be fair people said that all along, but you also have the people saying he's not an NBA level player. I mean... come on.
A great player? No he hasn't shown that. "garbage" "trash" "worthless" "sucks" I don't think he's shown that either.

Heres the deal. The dude is average at best. He's a so so shooter with poor PG skills. He's just an ok passer who has a lot of difficulty taking care of the ball. He turns the ball over too much. When defenses pressure him, he can't pass or dribble his way out of it. His ball handling skills are below average for a PG. He can slash ok and sometimes he gets hot and can shoot. He's not a starter in the league and he's not Linsanity. He's just some player. Have you ever hear of the expression "if it's one person, it's them, if it's everyone, it's you." Well, he can't just keep going places that are "the wrong system for him." The fact is that he's the common denominator in all these situations. He's a bench player. I'm
Sorry that people call him elite on here and a "top PG" and all this kind of nonsense. He's a scoring PG who is only ok at scoring. He's trash in the sense that Houston had to give up a pick in order for someone to take his expirer. You do understand that right? This guy who is "in the wrong system" and a "top PG" had to be traded with a pick in order for someone to take him on. He's now on a team whose starting PG got hurt and he's not even going to start. Give me a list of other starting PGs who would need a first round pick to get someone to take them on as a player. That list would be extremely short.

unskilled*. He's athletic enough to get to the rim even with no handles but doesn't have the touch to finish. Can't shoot reliably. All he has is court vision and can only make the pass if his defender isn't pressuring him.

Rekt
Who exactly got "rekt"? Me? For saying that Lin is a good 6th man type player? For saying that 12/5 isn't "trash and ****ing garbage that doesn't belong in the NBA"?
I just don't get it. I've never hated a player or enjoyed watching them fail as much as people seem to get enjoyment out of watching Jeremy Lin perform poorly.
Within a couple of weeks Lin will have a 20+ point game, and Laker fans will be jizzing over him. A few days later he's going to have a 9/6 game with 6 TOs and all the haters will once again be rejoicing, fulfilled in life since they got to see that damn bastard Lin play badly. **** him, who does he think he is, following his dreams and playing in the NBA. What a bastard.

Jeremy Lin is best played as a 6th man off the bench or as a second option playing combo guard alongside a point guard.
His point guard skills are very questionable. When he is told to play point guard, he tends to over think and lose control at times. He is actually pretty good when he goes into Westbrook w/o Durant or Kobe mode.
Just make him shoot the ball on every possession as your 6th man, then you are golden.

Stop embarrassing yourself mate. Now that LoF can no longer deny that their lord and saviour is a below average player they can no longer use the the defence of blaming everyone around Lin (Carmelo, Harden, McHale etc). Instead their new defence is saying you can't blame Lin for following his dreams thus his bad play is acceptable.

What the **** are you talking about? Are you accusing me of being a "LoF" :lol
If so you've already embarrassed yourself, quit while you're behind.
I'm simply questioning why people seem to be so happy when Lin doesn't play well.
And I'm a Warriors fan, genius. I'm not religious so I don't have a "lord and savior" but if I did have one it would be Steph Curry. Last I checked, he's doing pretty well and jokes on you :oldlol:
I could really not care any less if the Lakers finish 0-82, but I will always root for Jeremy Lin. I said before this season started that Lin would put up something like 12/5 minimum, and 18/7 best case scenario. So far it's looking like the former scenario is more likely.

Hmm.. what could it possibly be?? I wonder why people irrationally hate on Lin so much?
"But but... his fans are so annoying! That's why he gets so much hate every time he makes a mistake!"

Irrationally hating Lin?
Watch his last two games then tell me again it's irrational hate.
Besides, the reason why Lin gets more hate than he deserves is because of his fans who continue to blame everyone but Lin himself for his bad play.
