If it is a non-displaced injury we could see him return in 2-3 weeks. Pierce had a right 3rd non displaced metacarpal fracture and returned in 12 days.

I'm just at a loss for words. Has a serious title threat started a season off and had to play at least the first month or two this decimated by injury. Hopefully/fortunately we'll get Reggie and Lamb back soon, since their injuries weren't serious. But now no KD and Westbrook for at least a month probably?

That's OKC's only healthy players right now. I mean at least when we got Reggie and Lamb back within the next few games, we could probably manage to hover around .500 until KD came back. Reggie gives us another player who can create his own shot and score 20 any given night. But now? We may be so far below .500 before KD and Russ return, we'll just have to spend the rest of the regular season scrapping and clawing to make the playoffs.

We stole the team from those hippies in Seattle, who sit and smoke pot all day, and act like they're good fans, but aren't, and are still butthurt about OKC snatching the team away from their weed smoking city.

LOL at making fun of Seattle when everyone in OKC is an overweight, hillbilly, methhead with bad teeth. Seattle is one of the best cities in the country. OKC is a large tract of shit in comparison. The only reason OKC gets better attendence is because there's nothing else to do in that podunkville town. In Seattle you have actual culture and night life. In OKC, you have cow tipping.

It's still very early in the season. Obviously this will cost OKC some wins, but there is no reason they cannot be healthy come playoff time, and compete for a title.

They are not going to be out that long, Durant will be back in early December at the latest.

We don't know yet how long Westbrook will be out, but we do know that it's not a very serious injury, so he can still play the majority of the season.

Why dont he just harden uo and play he has another hand does he not??? Or cant he shoot with it?? Its not like they were going to win much without durant. But seriously why is lebrons team perfectly healthy and stacked. Okc loses both stars.

The Thunder most likely won't make the playoffs this year.
But they can develop their young talent now.
Maybe Perkins gets moved out for prospects and picks.

Once Durant and Westbrook come back they should make a run. They will make the playoffs. It's not really so much how you start but how you finish. I don't think they will win a title, but they should make the playoffs. None of these injuries are season ending.

Elosha
10-31-2014, 09:06 AM
They'll probably make the playoffs but all these injuries may cost them home court in the early rounds. They are going to have a much harder playoff road than last year as a second seed.

The irony of Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant both getting hurt when they made the decision, the right decision by the way, not to participate for Team USA this summer to rest their bodies to ensure that they were healthy for the start of this season.

With the injuries to Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Reggie Jackson, Jeremy Lamb and Anthony Morrow, Oklahoma City has lost 84 points per game from their lineup based off of what each player averaged last year. That doesn't include the promising first round draft pick Mitch McGary who was injured in the first preseason game.

That is not a .500 team, especially not in the West.

Too bad yall have a cheap owner and blew up your chances at a title because he didn't want to spend money. If OKC continues like this, KD and Westbrook are as good as gone.

What team is losing half of it's roster, including two top five or six players, and are still being competitive in the ultra competitive WC?

Losing 84 points from your lineup isn't about being cheap or ownership, it is just bad luck.

Really?

And Denver and Portland would be crying, too, if they had a legitimate championship contender that just lost half of it's roster in the last couple weeks.

Portland fans can appreciate more than anything, Denver not so much.

Russell Westbrook averaged 27 points, seven rebounds and eight assists in the playoffs last year and yet you've never seen him play well? He also didn't miss a game for his first five years in the league up until that Patrick Beverly injury in the playoffs in 2013. You must not be much of a basketball fan if you have never seen him play well given those facts.

It's good to see all those fans that don't like Oklahoma City enjoying their misery due to injuries right now when they are missing 84 points, 22 rebounds and nearly 20 assists per game from their lineup.
