Post your thoughts. Til December, After this season, a few years, a few years /w titles? How will will he be the head coach?

After seeing the game last night it is clear that this guy is an inept NBA coach who doesn't know how to mesh his characters together. I also saw Cleveland getting absolutely raped by 10-0 runs at multiple points of the game and this guy didn't do so much as call a timeout. Just kind of let them keep running around out there.

Your average INsidehoops poster could do what David Blatt does in games. And as much as people like to laugh at Spoelstra(for whatever reason) he is a great coach.

Cleveland got this guy when they thought they would be irrelevant, before LeBron and Love. they still thought they'd be contending for #1 overall picks. If they were smart they would address this mistake immediately, but I think they will wait until this years pre-mature playoff exit to make the decision just to try and make their decision to hire him not look as bad.

He never was the coach of the Cavs. LeBron is.

They shoulda kept Wiggins and traded LeBron for Love...

They could have used Wiggins defense and off ball play last night...

The King of the Lebron family has returned!
Coach Blatt has a lot of work to do, as last night the best player on the planet was reduced to nothing more than a spot up shooter. :facepalm

second game of the season, and no one here could do what david blatt is doing or they would be doing it for a living and getting paid millions. its not like they just pulled this guy out of the garbage somewhere he has just as much cred to coach a NBA team(if not more) than derek fisher and jason kidd.

Umm, Lebron reduces himself to nothing more than a spot-up shooter all the time, throughout his career. That's how he likes to go.

Losing to the Knicks? You're right, that's a hell of an accomplishment.

I agree with you.

gilbert won't bail on blatt, he knows better. he took a risk on an unknown and he'll let it play out for at least a season. blatt is not a potential scapegoat. and maybe gilbert had to cave to lebron to get him back to cleveland, but that influence has waned since lebron signed a contract.

not that any of this mattes. it's moot. the cavs will not lose enough to cause any calls for blatt's dismissal. worst case scenario is like 50 games.

knicks loss was more or less an anomaly. the presentation the network put on last night was sooooo goddamn over the top it was practically sickening. it was like nothing we've ever seen imo. with all that hype to live up to, its not a huge surprise even a guy like lebron fell short. there are very few who could/would.

btw just for the record, i think blatt will be do just fine with this roster. you can already see movement in this untried and untested offense that's just beautiful. kyrie is consistently looking to play off the ball which is great to see even if he is still a bit of a black hole once it finds his hands.

the roster seems ideal for what blatt is known for and appears to be implementing. i dunno what kind of defensive emphasis he has but lebron and andy v will play important leadership roles in that department. plus apparently they have tyronne lue on staff and he was pretty feisty lol

lol, guy coaches ONE Game in the NBA and suddenly he is inept and will not be a good coach. You people are ridiculous.

He has Tyronn Lue, Larry Drew, etc on his staff. They will be fine.

TonyMontanas prediction may come sooner than anticipated. LeBron reportedly already wants him out. The question now is how much are the CAvs prepared to kiss LeBrons ass and give in to his every demand?

oh right Larry Drew and Tyron Lue are on the coaching staff. How could I forget such legendary coaches.

If the Cavs lose tonight, Lebron may let him go before they get on the plane.

BUMP

i would bump my offseason thread asking who the **** this clown is, but someone deleted it.

remember guys, TonyMontana can always spot a coksucker.

It is clear this guy isn't 1/10th of the coach Spoelstra is. Literally just tells them to go out there and play like a pickup game. No defense, shitty spacing/playcalling, doesn't know how to manage a game.

It was obvious this dude was a scrub though.

Hopefully I'm wrong, but the day the Bulls fired Thibbs, I predicted Blatt would get fired before the all star break, and Cleveland would hire Thibbs, become the #1 defense in the league, with the greatest rebounding differential, and win a title.

I sincerely hope I wind up being wrong. AF.
