Sam Amico @SamAmicoFSO
"In other Cavs news, LeBron playing at 85-90 pct, tops. Back issue robbing him of lift/explosion. Few days off expected to help significantly"

He landed funny after that dunk yesterday. There is definitely something wrong.

It seems like he really has some issues with his back. It doesn't make sense to see him slower and with no lift after losing all that weight. He even said he was quicker than before himself.

I don't really have any experience with back issues so is this a big concern for LBJ?

He had them last year as well. How he is able to play so dominantly at 75% health is truly astounding.

Yeah, I noticed it pretty early in last night's game... even before the dunk where he came down awkwardly. He's getting very little lift on his jumpers and when attacking the basket right now. I'm not sure how serious the issue is, obviously, but he doesn't look anywhere near 100-percent.

If it persists, I'd definitely consider sitting him if I'm Blatt. Back issues can be really tricky.

LeBron has had back issues pretty consistently the last couple years, maybe more. Nothing too serious, but there are phases where you notice him not running as fast, and not elevating as much. It affects his play, but he still generally gets the work done

I agree with sitting him. I knew something didnt look right about him.

yes... but where is sam amico getting his info?... is this his speculation or is it legit info?

back injuries don't just go away i.e. where from a certain day forward, you never have any more problems.

if he is having legit back issues, he will always have problems that get progressively worse as long as he's playing.

well, he's got a ridiculous amount of mileage on his body.

it's a miracle (besides him being a gym rat) he hasn't had any semi-serious injuries yet.

I don't know where he is getting his info man but it's pretty obvious that he is having some issues.

He had some back issues last year too but I've never seen him this slow. In fact, he had some sick head at rim level dunks just last year. You don't just lose your athleticism in like 3 months.

Probably nothing, he's just sore from Melo tearing him a new one the other night.

LeBron took his talents to Miami, and forgot to bring his back, back. :(

On a serious note....this is why you don't pull this kind stunt because you can injure yourself.

Yup. CP3 had a flop last season that forced him to miss around 2 months.

When your body is being pushed forward and you whip yourself backwards is similar to throwing out your back. Look at the sudden grimace on his face.

I'm surprised Bosh doesn't have back issues from carrying lebron's sorry ass to the finals 4 years in a row

Lebron is not the same anymore. All of that lying, stealing, and cheating has really taken a toll on him.
