bennett was coming off of an injury and weight gain his first year. wiggins has no excuse whatsoever. the guy isn't ready and i'm not sure if he ever will be. harrison barnes is leagues above him right now

Wiggins choked the game away last night :( felt bad for him

Bennett has talent, last year was an anomoly. Wiggins needs to get into the flow more, but really, people were projecting 15-17ppg for him. The Bulls game was his first time playing 30 minutes, he had his moments (the end was very rookiesque) but the good news was that both Bennett and Wiggins were on the floor during crunch time.

Bennett is really fun to watch when he is on.
It is a bit to early to make a definitive call as there's growing pains evident in both of them.

Heard than Bennett spent some time in the off season working with Antoine Walker.

Bennett barely played last year. After his horrific start, whenever he was given some time on the court, he produced pretty well. Unfortunately, that only accounted for 8-10 games all season. Mike Brown doesn't play rookies unless they're stout defensively or hustle guys. Bennett was neither, so he sat.

I didn't want to give him up in that trade. The kid has far more talent and offensive skill than most people realize.

Yes, right now, he's a better player than Wiggins. I don't think that is necessarily on knock on Wiggins, though. Bennett has a nice offensive game.
